Summer-like weather prompted hundreds of people to act like idiots starting Thursday evening and into Saturday night. Jumping on vehicles, shooting people, destruction of property, fighting, and a burning Telsa all in the name of good clean fun!
A man was killed and another was wounded in a shooting on January 3rd in Englewood. The men were sitting in a parked car at a Citgo station at 1151 West 63rd Street. A 45 year old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced died. The other man, 35, was shot in the right leg. One of the alleged offenders showed up at a local hospital minutes later with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.
Police say Samuel Parsons-Salas, 32, is the person who shot and killed Ricky Vera, Mario Pozuelos, and Mercedes Tavares just before 2:30 a.m. outside of Vera Lounge in the Portage Park neighborhood on the city’s northwest side. Chicago Journal has the full story.
A sedan was traveling southbound on the 7000 block of S. Jeffery when it struck four adult male pedestrians. Three male victims were transported to University of Chicago where they were pronounced dead. Another male victim was transported to Stroger hospital.

A 29-year-old man was pronounced dead at Northwestern Memorial Hospital shortly after being shot multiple times in a parking lot at 430 S. Clark St. A short distance away, officers discovered the second victim with gunshot wounds to his right leg and arm.

On May 31, 2020 at 5:24am, a 25-year-old man was shot multiple times near 1249 North Mason Avenue in Chicago. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made.
This incident occurred just feet away from another fatal shooting on the same block almost a year to the day in May 2019.

A security guard at the McDonald’s located at 10 E. State St. pulls a gun to ward off two attackers. A struggle ensued after the guard escorted the two men out of the restaurant and was then stuck in the head with a bottle. No shots were fired. No report of the incident was filed with the CPD (no report, no crime).
