I'm pretty much buried in school work until the 10th, but I've got everything inked, I just need to slap on some colour ;)
That said, I did finish the two for my darlings, anoceanmonster & xoxxblitz7 ♥

Hev wanted Frankenstein style Frank and Gee (and YES I'm aware that Frankenstein was the doctor, you fucking asswanker from tumblr. Idiot.), and she even provided me with a lovely picture as inspiration. This was a lot of fun and quite different from what I normally crank out :)

Hollie wanted some fluffy Ray/Mikey, all tangled up in each other, and this is what I came up with, because seriously, cuddling up in bed is the best. ♥

As you can see on instagram, I am working on the rest, but they're on hold until school lets up and I've finished my Teen Wolf BB art. Derp.

Y'know, all y'all are like 'why do you never post art anymore Looooouuuu', and well. I only ever get around to draw stuff when I'm supervising the toddlers doodling, and all that comes of that is stuff like this;

...I do feel kind of bad that this is my first art post of 2011 and all you guys get is a 5-minute headshot doodle of Gerard. AT LEAST IT'S BANDOM RELATED, JENN, RIGHT? :P
I suppose I should just consider it practice for bandombigbang.

Oh, also on that note, guys-who-know-of-my-BBB-plot, please don't spread it around, because apparently we're not supposed to share it, in order for the artists to not know the authors behind the summaries.
I totally love that idea, btw. Clever thinking.

Imma go redecorate my room now. Or, well, move the bed at least, because my fucking window is so damn drafty and I'm getting super cold every night lying underneath it, which has (for now) manifested in a sore throat and sniffly nose. Right then.
Originally I made a video post about this, because I didn't feel like I could fully express how angry, upset and disappointed I am right now in writing, but the sound was shitty, so I suppose writing will have to do.

Most of you know that I created a community together with nahara to say thanks to the creator of this round of Merlin Big Bang. We were aware that due to not making it a general 'thanks to all the mods', there would probably be a bit of wank. This is fandom, after all, and lately Merlin fandom seems to have gotten increasingly wanky for some reason.

Now, I tend to stay out of it, because mostly I'm not directly involved and I really think it's a waste of time to just spew hateful nonsense about other people just in order to make you feel good about yourself. I have been on the receiving end of that kind of behaviour far more times than I like to think of, and thus I have never done it myself. I think it's childish, immature and quite frankly, absolutely disgusting. That kind of behaviour belongs, if anywhere at all, in an environment populated by children.

And I'm sorry to say, but as far as I know, the majority of Merlin fandom consists of adults.
As adults, I think it's relatively safe to assume that we're beyond that kind of hideous behaviour where we can't perform selfless acts. To threaten someone with wank in their personal journal because you feel like we're favourising some over others? Is disgusting and selfish.

If people were to bother actually reading the intro post, it is noted that we did not create the community in order to make others feel bad or as if their job hasn't mattered in this.
We created it to thank the one person who decided to take on something as massive and complicated as a Big Bang fest. The amount of planning that goes into that and the hours one needs to spend to make it all even remotely possible to pull of, are insane. And that's even before actually starting the sodding thing.

I am well aware that without the additional mods, this fest would not at all have gone as well as it have. I have... issues, with how some things have been handled, but I going to take those up at large when the entire thing is over and done with and there will (hopefully) be a post asking for feedback as to how we, as participants, have found the experience to be.

We recognised that they had done a tremendous job as well, but this community was never about that. It was about the person who made sure we had a fest at all. We weren't thanking her for working harder or more than others, because we have no idea how this thing has gone down. The community was created to just say thanks for even starting it, for providing us with the possibility of creating wonderful epics for all of fandom to enjoy.

To have people then ruin that due to sour grapes is just hideous. That some are not being able to see further than the tip of their own noses, just leaves me speechless and with a bitter taste in my mouth.

I have no regrets, and I would happily leave the community be and fight for it, but not on the cost of someone else's well-being and happiness. I am not going to keep it up if it ends up causing more misery than joy.

So, anon. Well done. I hope you're proud of yourself and your behaviour. I hope you're happy to have made sure that we're now once again left wondering if there'll even be a Big Bang next year. Thumbs up to you. I sure can't imagine anyone wanting to take over after this amount of bullshit.

I'm leaving this post public. If you have anything to say to me? Say it. I do not offer the safety of anonymous comments in my journal. If you are angry and upset enough to want to offer your two cents, then I'm all ears. But I want to know who you are.

I am not going to defend what I did, because there was no malicious intent in it.
I will however apologise for inadvertedly hurting people though, if that is the case. Like I said, that was never my intention, and neither was it nahara's. This was supposed to be a fun thing and a happy thing and a chance for people to show appreciation. Not hate.

I won't be participating in the next Big Bang (if there will even be one), and I am considering taking a break from Merlin fandom, because frankly, the wank just seems to get crazier and bigger. What happened to the little joyous fandom I joined in 2008 after watching the first episode of a series about a goofy wizard and a pratty prince with a heart of gold? I miss the old times, guys. And I'm sad that it has come to this.

Fandom is supposed to be the place where we escape from the let-down RL sometimes turns out to be. It's not supposed to be a breeding ground for contempt and elitist behaviour or to be a place where people are afraid to speak their mind or be honest because other people might attack them.

And on that note, before you go and attack nahara, that comm? Was my idea. And for those who are blaming the_muppet? She had no idea and she played no part in it. So if you have a problem? Take it up with me. Thanks.

So, apparently I'm mentally deranged, because I somehow convinced myself it was a good idea to do 6 drawings for this story. This left me on the point of wibbling and wanting to crumble them all up and tear them into little pieces to gnaw on in frustration, but luckily for me, I have kelene to cheer me on and be my (very lovely I might add!) personal drill sergeant. Thank you bb!

But, to be honest, it wasn't really a choice. I actually wanted to illustrate a ridiculous amount of other scenes from this fic because it was just that good.

Right, so, in other news, I saw this at some random journal as I was browsing around for fic, and I liked the idea and thought I'd give it a go.
The 12 Months Challenge Meme
I need 12 prompts, one for each month of the year. Each fic has to be posted on the 1st of the month, and have a minimum word limit of 2000.

Alrighty then!
This year I got lucky enough to illustrate the awesome story The Chapterhouse by essene :D
It's a sci-fi knight!AU and if that doesn't make your jaw drop with awesomeness, then you fail.
It's magnificent and you should totally go read right away! Run, don't walk!

Under the link are my illustrations for 3 different scenes of the fic. Obviously this means spoilers.
Maximum rating is PG. Also, I'm so sorry for the quality of the scans; my own scanner broke down and I had to use my dad's which is, quite frankly, shit. Boo :(
I hope you can overlook the slightly grainy feel!

Chad's smile was face-splitting as he quickly crossed the hall to grasp Jared's forearm in their world’s traditional greeting, then swooping in to place a solid kiss on Jared's mouth.

Jared's breath was taken away a bit by the chapel proper. [...] Jensen nudged Jared as he started to follow Jensen to the row of prayer mats at the front of the section.

Jensen turned and saw Jared watching him and smiled just as brilliantly at his postulant before leaning over and placing a small, soft kiss against his lips.

WHAT TIME IS IT? ~~SUMMERTIME~~
Time for artz!
Yeah, I know. I'm terrible at producing anything even remotely artistic at the moment, so all you get is doodles. Hahah, fail. Sorry.

These are for a meme I came across (can't remember where), that basically asked you to choose whatever sex you prefer, and then draw things you find attractive on the outside.
Then you had to combine said things and draw one person. That's the first half of the meme. The other half is to draw things you find attractive in the personality aspect, but I haven't really gotten around to that. Woops.

Yaaaye, colours! Even if it's not shaded. Ahah.

'Cause everyone else is doing it...

Obviously, this was a VERY quick doodle with markers splashed on it. Durh.

Okay. When I was 13, it was 2001, and it was very in to wear brightly coloured clothes and tops that would show off your stomach (I mispelled that on the drawing, I know).
Anyhoo, I was a bit of a fatty then (nothing changed in that department, hah), and obviously I should've just accepted that and wore clothes that actually fit, buuuut.
I was desperate to fit in somehow (this period in my life was also the infamous Lou-gets-bullied period), so yeah.
The hair was also a fashion strike. It looked HORRID. Oh 13-year old self. You idiot <3

When I was 16, I was at boarding school. Basically, I went nuts and did all the things my mum forbid me to do, which included dressing in clothes with holes and safety pins *snort*
I also dyed my hair purple. Good times indeed. Needless to say, I grew out of that phase ;)

And tah-dah, then there's me today, in the outfit I'm actually wearing right now.
I suppose I've gotten slightly boring, but eh, at least my stomach isn't falling out of my clothes and I don't need safety pins to hold them together ;)
My mum is not a fan of my men's shirts though. They fall victim to "But they make you look so butch!" quite a lot, hah.

SO!
I went to see "Becoming Jane", which was lovely, though I hate the lack of happy ending, but that's the trouble with movies based on real life events :B
But there was James McAvoy! OMG! *fangirls* Lovely, lovely man. (He's the guy who plays Mr. Tumnus in Narnia, guys)
I'm still a little weirded out by having Anne Hathaway playing Jane, but eh.

I think Jane Austen is good for my muse, it gets me cracking on drawing, so yaye!

Honestly, sometimes I think I was born in the wrong century X) Ah well, at least I don't have to wear unflattering dresses :B
