1. Be kind to each other! We all like different things and rudeness for disliking a pairing, characters, any canon, genre, or kink, etc. will not be tolerated! We want everyone to feel welcome and supported here!!!

2. All posts should be het_bigbang related! We have our HetBang Discord server for non-Het Bang related chatting! =D

3. Please use a cut if your post is longer than 100 words, or if your pics/artwork/gifs/etc. is larger than 300x300 pxls. A cut must be used if your work is NSFW or contains problematic/triggering content, with a warning of what the problematic/triggering content is before the cut. Here is how cuts work. If you need additional help with how cuts work, contact the mods! Contact information is below.

Mandatory Trigger Warnings: noncon, dubcon, excessive or graphic violence, underage sex, incest, character death. This list is not exhaustive and we ask that you use your discretion and add any other warnings you feel are applicable.

4. The community policy is to leave positive feedback and encouragement on snippets posted here. Authors and fanworkers can of course ask for constructive criticism! Please only leave constructive criticism if the creator has specifically asked for it.

5. Membership to this comm is only granted to those that are officially participating in the Het Big Bang. Authors, fanworkers, beta readers, and cheerleaders are all allowed and encouraged to join! If you are only participating as a beta reader/cheerleader, leave a request to join in a comment on this post and then join the comm. Mods will be checking sign-ups and comments on this post to make sure only current participants are joining.

This comm will be hosting writing and encouragement events to help you get those words in and stoke your creativity!

Hello again all!

We're back for another year of the fab Het Big Bang. Here in the help comm, we'll be having our special events - Block Writing Wednesday and Snippet Sunday - as usual, so stay tuned for those.

Just a reminder that this is comm is f-locked for Het Big Bang participants only, so you will need to join to see any posts once you have signed up (*sign-ups begin May 1st). We've cleared out last year's members, so you will need to join again, even if you had joined last year.

The Het Big Bang is back!!

This comm is a support group for authors, artists, beta readers, and cheerleaders to come together, flail together, and work towards the Bang's deadline. As n previous years, this a members-only comm and entries are locked unless you are officially signed up as authors/artists and betas/cheerleaders, then join the comm.

(The member list is emptied each year before the new Bang begins, so even if you joined in previous years, you will need to re-sign up at the main comm and then join).

Also check out the main comm for pimping banners and link backs and all sorts of stuff. Spread the word and join the comm!! And stayed tuned for special writing events here, such as Block Writing and Snippets Day.

Amnesty Posting?

Gahh, time totally got away from me this week - I'm in recovery mode after my best friend came in for a visit and thought I had more time to finish my story than I did. I just polished it off and am waiting for beta, and am planning on posting later tonight.

Is anyone else taking the amnesty route? And is it possible for me to add my fic to the collection, or will there be a second amnesty collection? I did the little bang, so thankfully I didn't keep anyone waiting when it came to art.

Hey!

So, first of all I'm almost done! I have one chapter and an epilogue to do, and the end bit has been kicking my ass the last few weeks. Plus I've had some RL badness happening. But I am determined to get this chapter and the epilogue written even in a very rough form today, because I have a TON of editing to do on the earlier chapters. And it turns out my fic is going to be much shorter than I'd imagined, probably about 35-40k. Yay!

Secondly, I was wondering if it was okay to contact your artist? I'm very excited knowing someone out there is working on art for my story. I don't want to pester them or anything, but I'd like to say hi. Should I go friend my artist? If you're reading this, by the way, please say hi in the comments! I'm so excited to be this close to being finished, and to have shiny art, and... *squees*
