I don't like doing this, but it has to be done. There are quite a few people on this list, saying I have NEVER made a friends cut, and I've had this journal for over a year.

If you are on the list, it is either because we never really connected, or you haven't updated. Four or five people were cut because they have switched journals or asked to be deleted.

Time for a post!

So, soccer has now become my life. All last week we had captain's practices, and then Monday - Wednesday we had tryouts. I'm happy, and quite suprised, to say that I made JV! *squees* That means practice every day until school starts from 9-12, then every day after school. I'm quite excited though, because this is my first high school sport, and I feel spoiled with all of this stuff we are getting =P For our uniform, we have two jerseys, two pairs of shorts (one in gold, the other in blue for both jersey and shorts), a pair of windpants, and a jacket. AND THAT'S NOT ALL! We get free "warmups" too, which consist of a sweatshirt with our name and number, a pair of sweatpants also with our number on them, and a t-shirt. This is CRAZY! I'm super excited for the season to start. Our first game is in two weeks, but based on our first two practices, our team looks pretty good :D

Okay, well I think that's it for now. I really can't think of anything else to say (nothing that doesn't need to be friends-locked XP).

The Sky Became Dark

I walked down the sidewalk.
I was shivering out in the cold
The sky was dark,
And so was my heart,
The day my life began to unfold.

Ben was my best friend.
He died two years ago.
The sky became dark,

It happened so quickly,
I thought it would last.

I found this poem when I was cleaning out my school stuff. I wrote it back in February on our first day of our poetry unit in English.

Tangled

Falling.
Falling into darkness,
Into the depths of
Confusion, despair, death.
Your feelings collapse,
Jumbled into one big heap.
The emotions are like strings,
Tangled together – wound up.
To escape the darkness,
You must look inside
Yourself.
Find one string,
The most important one.
Slowly, you must untangle the thoughts.
Day after day,
The threads become cleaner;
The feelings are lined up.
You climb back
From the darkness,
Nearer to the surface.
You are back to reality,
Back to your temporary

This poem somewhat flows, unlike most of my stuff. It's quite depressing, so I guess I must have been depressed the day I wrote this. Aaaah, I wrote it in early February. Thats why. I was REALLY confused in late January/early February. I wonder what I posted in LJ around then *goes off to check*

Public post. Because I'm terribly bored.

So, right now I'm in DC at the Hampton Inn on a family vacation. (Everyone wants to know WHY we're here. WHY ELSE WOULD WE BE IN DC?!?! Do you think we're going to some smart-people convention, or what?) Here's a picture of me, with the Washington Monument in the background:

I feel kind of bad posting this publicly, because someone could stalk me, and then look at all of my pictures via Photobucket. FINE, I'M NOT POSTING IT. So, for all of you stupid-heads out there, DON'T ASK ME WHERE THE PICTURE IS, BECAUSE IT'S NOT THERE!!! Why, you might ask, don't I just delete the whole entire sentence saying that I'm posting a picture? Because, it's much more fun to leave it there! It then takes up space and makes this post look longer than it is. Cool, huh?

Sorry if I sound like a jerk right now, but I am so completely bored right now, and I've nothing better to do. I'll end this post here, so I don't bore you too much. Uh, it's nothing very exciting. In the 6th grade, I had just downloaded AIM, and needed a temporary screename, so I took the name of my bunny (Hershey. She got eaten by a bear while we were on vacation last summer. No one missed her too much, sadly), along with the mascot of our school (the Hermantown Hawks). It's stuck ever since.

4. Peaches Yes, I love peaches. They make me feel so...peachy!
5. Eating dinner with my family </small>I always complain about dinner time at our house, but I actually appreciate it.</small>

7. Online friends/IM Having a random, hilarious conversation with a few of my LJ friends rocks. I love talking to them>
8. My iPod/Music Everyone seems to love their music, and I'm no different.
9. Sleeping Guhhh, who DOESN'T love sleeping?
10. Rain The sound of rain hitting the ground, the roof, or especially the bus (I love being in buses while it rains, it makes an AWESOME sound) makes me cheerful. It's odd, but rain makes me happy.

THE WEATHER OFFICIALLY DOES NOT WANT ME TO HAVE ANY FUN.

About a month ago, we were supposed to go skiing for school (that's what I chose for my activity), and it was too cold to go (-50 below wind chills). We ended up staying at school the whole day and watching movies while everyone else went to their activity of bowling, Imax, or something of that sort. I brought my skis to school and everything, all just to be wasted.

So today, I was supposed to go to a band trip to the Twin Cities to watch the Minnesota Symphony Orchestra and then to the Mall of America, but of course Minneapolis gets a huge snowstorm and its CANCELLED. Now we are all stuck at school without any of our school stuff, just to go to class and "deal with it" as the Principal says. Whatever, it's just going to be boring. Now I'm in computer club and just sitting here, typing this. These sixth grade guys next to me just said, "Wow, you type fast! Go again, go again!!!" Then these two eighth grade preps across from me can't even type in their first and last names to access the school server. Freaks.

*sigh* Umm...OH! I ordered a 30 GB Video iPod last Thursday, and it came on Tuesday! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!! I already uploaded all of the music in our house (excluding the Christmas music, which is almost half of it) and all of my Harry Potter pictures (screencaps and actor pictures), pictures of my friends, pictures of my family, nature pictures, and some extra pictures. I'm still only using 17 GB. AAAAH, I NEED SOME MORE MUSIC!!! I'll have to convince some of my friends to burn me some CDs *ponders* I'll ask them as soon as I get out of this class 13 minutes! I have to remember that...

OMFG I WANT AN IPOD SO BAD IT ISN'T FUNNY.

I am sitting here drooling while looking at the pictures of them. I especially want this one:

Okay, wait a second. Doesn't the saying go Money can't bring you happiness? Why did I just say that having that nice iPod would make me happy? That doesn't make sense at all. *is confused* But I want it so bad...I guess I should remember all of those people out there who don't even have a house *sigh* I already have a laptop, even if it is old and slow.

Grrrr, now I don't know if I should start saving up for it or not. It does cost $300, but if I get one, I want a nice one. I am not going to spend my money on some crappy thing.

[edit]Thanks to everyone who commented quickly, I've realized that I don't need an iPod that nice. I guess an iPod Nano with only 2GB will be okay =D

Yo. I have always wanted to say that, and today is my lucky day :P Here is something I stole from simply_strange's journal, who stole it from someone else :D

Put your playlist on shuffle mode. Pick out a line from the first 10-15 songs. (try not to use the chorus or title of the song). List them and see if people on your friends list can guess them. Once one is guessed correctly, strike it out/simply put the artist and song title beside the line in bold.

At first I was just going to do part of my playlist, but I guess I'll do the whole thing. Please no cheating :D If after awhile, no one guesses them, I'll give some clues.

Hi everyone! I've just recently made a graphics community for my icons, as it is taking up all of the space in my journal. It's called hhkisses, to represent Hershey Kisses, and my screenname being hersheyhawks, I named it hhkisses.

Not much is new here in Minnesooooota, except for the fact we got two feet of snow (at least). I'm going to go outside later today and take picures, so be on the lookout for those :D

And I'm super excited that free account users can now have 6 userpics!!! I'm going to upload more right now :)

Okay okay, I jumped to conclusions.

Thanks to all of those people who ended up commenting on my last icon post. I assumed I wasn't going to get any more comments saying my icons had totally been removed from my friends page because so many more people posted. But I guess I was wrong :D

Okay, now I'm pretty mad. I just posted a whole bunch (30 to be exact) of GOF World Premiere icons that I'm quite proud of and recieved one comment. That comment happened to be from the lovely xellabelle, who I am now friending because she was so awesome that she left me a compliment and a question. Oh yes, thank you _ellestar_.

Maybe I will get some more comments if I "practice what I preach" as the saying goes. I'm going to comment on other people's icon posts! That might get me some praise. Now I'm just sifting for compliments. Mr. Sweeney told us not to do that....

I would make all of these useless entries friends only, but then my friends couldn't read it, saying THEY DON'T HAVE LIVEJOURNAL ACCOUNTS!!! So, if any of my awesome friends like Ellen, Jenna, Kelly, Lauren, Hannah, or Amber are reading this, PLEASE leave me a comment, even if it is anonymous. That would make me extremely happy.
