"FIVE YEARS GONE" (s01e20)

summary: Hiro and Ando experience the future timeline in which the explosion wasn't stopped. The President makes a serious decision with drastic consequences. Constantly on the run, Claire tries to lead a normal life. Peter must make a choice between trying to change the past and living in the present. Mohinder, now a government worker, is a reluctant persecutor of evolved humans. Homeland Security Director Matt shows no qualms about persecuting evolved humans. "HIROS" (s01e05)

summary: At "Future Hiro's" urging, Peter and Isaac come together and begin to formulate a plan. Nathan escapes from Mr. Bennet, meets Hiro, and realizes he's been blackmailed. While Claire recovers from the car accident unscathed as always, when her father becomes involved Brody isn't as fortunate. As Niki looks forward after becoming free of her debt to Mr. Linderman, a new menace crops up: her estranged ex-con husband, D.L. Because Heroes is a longer series, we're going to take a "best hits" approach to the rewatch. In this post we're polling our members to choose 10 episodes from each season and 5 episodes from the shortened second season. These chosen episodes will constitute the "best hits" and will be what each of the weekly rewatch posts are based around. Then, for any gaps in between the episodes, there will be a catch-up post for those purists who want to take on a full rewatch--or for the newbies who are watching for the first time!

I'd originally imagined these polls as a sort of battle where people extol various episode virtues and talk trash ... however, if I've learned one thing from our intro post, it's that the past 10 years have taken a toll and we don't remember a damn thing about this show! This is a HEROES rewatch community! The NBC series premiered on September 25th, 2006, and as we rapidly approach the 10th anniversary of the pilot, it's the perfect time to take a look back on the series. Revisit "save the cheerleader, save the world" and the fandom that made 2006-2010 a fantastic time to be on LJ. There will be weekly watch posts, prompting posts, discussion posts, and whatever else we can dream up!

Because Heroes is a longer series, we're going to take a "best hits" approach to the rewatch. In the week leading up to to our rewatch start date, polls will be run to choose 10 episodes from each season (and 5 episodes from the shortened second season). Each week will start with one of these episodes, and then for any gaps in between the chosen episodes there will be a catch-up post for those who want to take on a full rewatch.
