...No, no. I ain't dead to your disappointment. I'm so sorry that I pretty much disappeared from LJ! I hope everyone is doing fine?

I really haven't been using my LJ account that much, aside from checking out updates and comms. It's like half of my f-lists abandoned their journals as well, and then I have zero motivation to make graphics at all. It just...urgh. I know that no matter how I word it it would still seem like an excuse, but I find it really difficult to squeeze out hours every week to make icons now despite how much I enjoyed doing so. Balancing between school, work and social life is getting increasingly difficult, especially the school part. I guess now I truly understand growing up also means more responsibility.

I think I will still try to post in here at least occasionally though - so next time when I pop up, hopefully you won't be scared to dead like you are right now (=w="

For now, I will always be actively squeeing, screaming, ranting, and dancing on TWITTER about whatever TV shows or manga or celebrities I'm into, or whatever impossible-to-understand math equations that are invented solely for the purpose of screwing your mind up. So feel free to find me there if you need to, and if anyone on my f-list have an account I'd love to add you! :)

- The world has been in chaos these few months. Revolutions, earthquakes...you name it. Hope the rest of the year will be happier for everyone. But for now - I still need to get an earthquake kit. I'm totally paranoid after what happened to Japan. It just hit me that if even such a wealthy, organized, prepared and civilized nation could suffer so much damage, Idk what would happen here when (not if) the Big One finally hits. And of course both my home and school are right by the sea...

ONE MORE DAAAAAAAAY. AND THEN FANDOM WILL BURST INTO MANLY TEARS.

Dammit I really don't want FMA to end...Regardless of how the finale is like (now to be fair, I lost to my temptation and read the manga ending last month so I know what it's gonna be like), FMA:B is the BEST anime of the year imo, if not the best that I've ever watched in my entire life. Hopefully I can take a break from work and school and type up a 10000 word review of the entire series next week. If anything, FMA deserves it.

Manga ending spoilers under cut.
Ed proposes Winry at the train station, and then Let it Out starts playing in the background as a final ending song (Ray of Light would work as well, but I prefer the former). Then we get to see everyone's future lives as the music is playing, much like how we saw Kallen going to school, Orange working in an orange plantation etc with Continued Story playing in the Code Geass epilogue. And the ultimate final scene we see in the anime has to be featuring Ed, or Ed/Al/Winry somehow ;A;

Just please, BONES, don't play Rain as the ending song tomorrow. As much as I love the song, it's irrelevant now that the grand battle and Promised Day is over! Anime have a tendency to use the first OP/ED in the last episode as well, but I don't think the mood of Again or Uso will fit the epilogue |D;

~~BTW, can I have some extra Bucky/Olivier hints in the finale other than the exchange between Alex and Olivier? ;A; I would love BONES to death if it happens fffff.~~

ANYWAY. IT'S TOMORROW. Now I need to figure out what I should watch on my military Sunday now that the awesome chain of Code Geass, Gundam and FMA is over.

IZUMI/OLIVIER/SIG/ALEX SHALL BE MY NEW OT4.

...okay, before we get to that let's start with something more serious. Both the art and the animation took a big drop from the previous episodes, which was kinda expected as you can tell they really pour out all their animation budget on all those epic fights one after the other (Al vs. Pride/Kimblee, Armstrongs vs. Sloth, Roy/Envy, Hohenheim/Father, Bradley/tank...etc). It's understandable, but hopefully it will get back to decent next episode.

The Fu/Buccaneer deaths were no surprise; I'm not a manga follower, but the preview from last episode totally spilled the beans anyway orz. It wasn't as emotional as I had hoped mostly because of the lessened animation quality this week (oh geez, you can totally see they are trying to save money with all those poor camera angles and corners cut...), but I also thought the acutal aftermath scene could be prolonged slightly. "Oh, so they died...? Or not? Or would it be continued next episode and somehow Buccaneer/Fu are actually still alive...?" That's probably what I thought just before the intermission eyecatch :/ I just don't really feel a conclusion to those two great men's fight, or more like my brain isn't fast enough to process what really happend in the past 60 seconds or so. Initially I thought Buccaneer would die only after receiving another fatal blow (not that I want to see it ;A;), it seems a bit anticlimatic to me that it's just because he pulled out the sword and dying of blood loss (Ironically, he could have survived if some alchemists -probably Ed or Mei- were nearby to seal his wound with perhaps a philosopher's stone...). That said, the "death" scene was still well-done despite all the places it could improve on. The bgm was especially well-chosen, just as always.

It took two lives to wound King Bradley...Should we be glad that he doesn't have an uncountable amount of lives like the other Homunculuses? Also, someone really should break the sword in Buccaneer's hand before Bradley picks it up again to deal with Ling. And he probably will.

I heard many saying that they added some anime original dialogue from Izumi/Olivier, which is GREAT because I always thought they would immediately scream awesome as allies *W* Alex and Sig got their moments earlier, so it's only fair that it's the ladies' time this turn! It was really ironic when Olivier told Izumi she doesn't have anyone whom she would want to see again no matter what as soldiers fight to be alive, given what we know just happened to Buccaneer/Fu who just went kamikaze on Bradley earlier (Buccaneer in particular - SHOOT I THINK MY SHIP HAD JUST SUNK ;AAAAA;). Izumi asking Olivier such a personal question so randomly better has some significance later on. Idk, like she would regret her answer and change her mind. SHE BETTER. I DON'T CARE. FOR THE SAKE OF MY SUNKEN SHIP SHE BETTER ;A;

The only two persons who can get away alive after calling Ed a shrimp.
BTW. THAT HANDSHAKE. THAT HANDSHAKE WAS MADE OF UNRIVALED LEVELS OF WIN. You have no clue how hard I squeed at them still holding hands when the transmutation circle was activated ;A;b Darn, something just has to wreck any Olivier shippy moments that I got does it...
/cries over that interrupted black/white/blue scene

I love how they have been contrasting Mustang/Olivier ever since the Promised Day began. Mustang doesn't kill; Olivier thinks that's just being naive. Olivier doesn't want a piece of the Fuhrer's seat; Mustang will drool all over it...Remember several episodes back Roy half-joking told his squad to flee without him if the situation called for it and they said yes without second thought? And this time they had Olivier telling her troops to run and abandon her if necessary, in which that Karley guy uneasily agreed. Oh she and her loyal troops. ;A;

Onto the Mustang gang. FMA is awesome because nobody is overpowered; For every character there is someone who can rival them well. Olivier easily owned Alex with her speed and swordman skills (though I do believe it's partly because Alex was being a softie inside =w=;;), but when it comes to facing off Sloth Alex's brute muscle power is much needed. The same goes for this episode, Riza has been quite helpless against the nearly-immortals for the previous episodes (at least she would run out of bullets because she could exhaust all the life quotas in the philosopher's stones), yet when it comes to fast-moving targets that will actually die she proves to be the most useful although she's the most normal among the four of them (Scar, Ed, Mustang). Also kudos to her quick instinct for shooting at Gold-Toothed Doctor!
FistFight!Mustang just seems wrong, on the other hand lol. After the Envy fight we thought he could snap his fingers fast enough and still controling his fire alchemy precisely...but no. But I did read something on how complicated his alchemy is, so I'll forgive him this time haha.

Finally, the transmutation at the end! I doubt the decomposing is anything as exciting as they are trying to lead us to think, but rather it's simply teleporting those three to another place (in fact, I don't even think the decomposition was even directly caused by the transmutation...it's probably just Father doing the job). Come to think of it, at this rate it would have taken Alphonse forever to get to the castle to join the fun, so teleport makes perfect sense lol.

...Btw. It suddenly came to my mind: Why didn't they let Heinkel drive instead of Yoki in the first place? OTL

Good job to the teaser this time for not ruining the cliffhanger by showing mostly Wrath/Ling fight footage.

Speculations from a non-manga reader:

1) Mustang was noticably left out from the end-of-episode transmutation, even though he has pretty much been implied being a potential human sacrifice. If we assume human sacrifice=those who opened the Door, saw Truth and could come out alive, and that there isn't any hint so far that Mustang has done so - then that would explain why he didn't get decomposed like everybody else. Which means somehow Mustang will somehow need to open the Door for plot in the near future, which also means he will need a motivation to do so. The easiest way plot-wise is obviously for someone close to him to die, he rages, attempts human transmutation to revive said person...and tada! You have the rest. And there isn't that many someone's death that can make him go that crazy. Run for your life now, Hawkeye...
2) And since all the manga readers are saying that the new OP is very spoilerific (even though to me the most spoilerific part is being told that it's spoilerific...), Mustang is definitely going blind as a result of (1). And I thought that was made up from the first anime...It seems inevitable in a shounen manga that when characters gave up limbs and internal organs, someone would lose their eyes eventually. Oh look, there is even an episode titled "Lost Light" later. If it wasn't because I looped the OP a million times I would have been innocent enough to think Lost Light = eclipse...
3) Grumman/Miles. They have been given enough set up earlier that I doubt they will miss all the craze on the Promised Day (especially Miles - he had had a proper backstory that contributed to the main theme of changing Amestris). So. When are they finally going to charge into Central with the rest of the Eastern/Briggs troops? Grumman would only do so when he's given the right opportunity to steal all the glory from Mustang/Olivier obviously, and I would assume Miles was sent there to keep Grumman in check, somehow...I'll look forward to how that all plays out.
4) Since it appears that Arakawa doesn't forget any character during the final Promised Day climax, I wondering if that doctor (I think his name was Knox...?) who treated Ran Fan and Mei earlier would show up again as well. I think one of the corrupted higher-up official is still missing too. There were eight of them to begin with: Two killed by the zombie dolls, two killed by Olivier (including Raven), one accidentally smashed to death by Sloth, one taken hostage by Briggs, and one taken hostage by Izumi...so yeah, some certain official is still missing and pending for torture lol.
5) Pride, you need to be back to Central quick. After all, we only have two villain homunculi alive at the moment...
6) I'm hoping that Winry won't somehow get involved in the final climax fight. Her role in the story is to bake apple pies and wait for the Elrics' return.

Don't know why all my anime reviews end up being tl;dr OTL. If I can write this much for my school papers then I would have aced all my classes, ah.

Probably some spoilers for 57 too because BAAAAAW, I accidentally stepped on a manga landmine...
Warning: This post will probably make me sound like a complete fanbrat idiot.

HOLY CRAP WRATHFUL KING BRADLEY

CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP CRAP ;A;

...so he broke a tank with one sword. And somehow Buccaneer's stomach muscle is harder than that of a tank's metal. And fortunately Bradley can't regenerate another sword...or that he didn't bring more swords with him.

I love how he said there's no logic in coming back to one's home through the back door though.

SO. BUCCANEER. I kinda got spoiled that something bad will happen to him way back, I just didn't know how bad it would be - injured, badly injured, or death. So when Wrath dismantled his automail I was like CRAP. But no big deal, it's just an automail! And then his sword went through his stomach I was like SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIII----

...but he's alive and well still, so yay. Until I watched that freaking preview, and for whatever reason the person who puts together the preview always has to put something of importance into there. Since the next episode is titled 永遠の暇 (Eternal Rest), we know someone is dying next week for sure. At first it looks like it's going to be Fu as he seems pretty screwed against Wrath in the preview (and it makes sense; there's no way a major villain such as Wrath would die in the hands of Fu, and if the new OP was right it should be a Wrath/Scar face-off in the end?), but NO. THEY JUST HAD TO USE SOME OLIVIER FOOTAGE WHEN HE SAID "さらば、我が主" (Goodbye, my lord) IN THAT DAMNED PREVIEW (;д;)|||| And technically Olivier is a master-like existence to Buccaneer, so is Ling to Fuu. Now connect the dots and tada! ...

DO NOT WANT. MAJOR DO NOT WANT ;A; ;A; ;A;

And now that Mustang's coup d'état is backfiring for they gambled on pinning all their support onto Bradley, it's hard, but let's push all the blame onto Briggs and Olivier and sell them out in order to save Mustang's reputation! Dirty backstabbing from the good guy's part, something cool that you won't see often in the world of anime right?
...NO. I'm like crying for Olivier now. The Briggs soldiers suffer such heavy losses in this battle (probably heavier than Mustang's group anyway), she herself got badly injured from the fight with Sloth and with one of her most trusted subordinate dying on the way...oh god, all those loyal soldiers that she had trained and trusted these years simply vanish within a day. THIS IS MADNESS.
Roy Mustang, please prove yourself to be one good man till the very end when this is all over, i.e.: Never abandoning and sacrificing your fallen allies in order to save yourself. You are only 7 more episodes away from that, come on, keep it up! ~~I shall never forgive you if you do decide to sell out Olivier/Briggs. No, pleading with your sexy Lockon voice won't help either!~~

In the end I still haven't decided whether I want Buccaneer/Olivier or Miles/Olivier (Olivier/Mustang is always there for the crack, but ultimately I still ship Roy/Riza!). Buccaneer has a funnier personality, while Miles is always so strict and business-serious. But so far the only significant Miles/Olivier interactions we have seen were that "I WILL FREAKING KILL YOU!!" flashback and him admitting that it's Olivier who made him realize his value of serving in the military. There might be more in the manga though ufufuf. Buccaneer, however, the snowgazing scene with Olivier was just full of win *O* It was lovely that Olivier let them in after the 24 hours limit, and then Buccaneer sent Izumi to help her out this time in return even though he was ordered to abandon and let her die. Plus wouldn't it be adorable with all those Buccaneer little sweet girl crushes yet the one he likes at the end is the Queen of Ice? *W* ♥ Nevermind the fact that Miles is already married anyway lol.

Don't know where is Miles during all these. Hopefully not drinking tea with Grumman still. Or whatever his name is in English.

Eh-hem. Please ignore my wild imagination. Of course Olivier can still be awesome and remain single while Alex teases her on that ever after.

Hopefully you can tell that Olivier is my favourite character in the whole show by now rofl.

A-Anyway. I sort of wished that Olivier had taken the Führer's seat last episode to take command as things have gotten real messy at Wrath's return now and all the Briggs soldiers need at this very moment is a good commander (scared!Falman was awesome this episode though!), but I guess that scene did have a significance on how the seat was ultimately meant to be Mustang's.

Point form now because once again, this is getting too long...

-Fuu avenging Ran Fan's arm was sweet, especially after we were shown him slapping his granddaughter earlier.
-Out of everything Father just has to look like Pride lol.
-I love Maria Ross' voice so so much. Kudos to Nazuka Kaori for pulling that out nicely even though a mature woman role isn't exactly what she's known for!
-WRATH IS FRICKING SCARY ;A; Watching the tank scene seriously gives me goose bumps...
-I love Greedling. Best combination ever lol.
-Still waiting for a omg!I-actually-loved-my-family Pride/Wrath/Mrs.Bradley reunion.
-I can't wait for Olivier finally finding out that Izumi was the one who attacked the Briggs troops 20 years ago either. It would be hilarious.

I-I should write about Durarara and some other shows that I'm watching too. But I have been too into FMA nowadays, especially with all the hype it has created with the announcement of the end of its manga which has been running for almost 10 years...

Why doesn't everyone just give in to the Firefox awesomeness? I geass you all to switch to FF now!

I really admire web designers now. First they had to work with different screen resolutions, now they also have to take care of the different ways all those recently surfaced web browsers interpret html lately. Adding cellphone surfing and colour-blindness to the list. Ouch. Now I'm glad I didn't choose graphic design as my career |D;

Durarara!! episode 13

Silly me almost forget that we have a Durarara episode this week as I'm still obsessed over the latest FMA episode;;;

I really, really like the new OP/ED song-wise, yet something I worried became true: Uragiri no Yuuyake and Trust Me had become a big part of Durarara's identity to me that it doesn't feel right to use something else for its opening/ending orz. Idk. While the new opening is a really good song by itself, it certainly doesn't feel Durarara-ish enough, if that makes sense. But at least I like both of the sequences?

Anri's narration turns out to be much better than I expected, though maybe it's because half of the episode is about Selty. And she's back as the main narrator next time too! I'm definitely not complaining ♥

Speaking of Selty. CAN THEY STOP KILLING ME WITH ALL THOSE SHINRA/SELTY RABURABU-NESS? ♥♥♥ I was already dying when Selty flew into Shinra's embrace, and then Shinra just had to bring up his ero lines. *laughs* That guy never know when is the right time to say the right things does he?

...SO THEY DID IT LAST EPISODE, RIGHT? RIIIIIIGHT~~?

And awwwww the way she speaks of the cellphone that Shinra gave her sdlkjfklsdfjlsdjf Totally a girl-in-love kinda soft voice, um hmmmm. Yet with all these Shinra/Selty moments I'm also shipping Shizuo/Selty, haha.

Also, like-father like-son, I don't know who is crazier lol.

FUIJIWARA KEIJI, FINALLY ♥♥♥♥♥ I'm like in love with his voice recently. Which is a bit sad given how much I wanted to slap/torture his characters in Eureka7 and Gundam 00 lol. Well at least that proves it's not impossible to hate a character but love the seiyuu?

Seiji/Mika is getting creepy.

I don't really know if I should start feeling sorry for Anri either.

They are finally getting the right voice actors to act the chatroom scene, lalala. Kanra!Kamiya is just as gay as he should be lol.

Things are finally getting real interesting. Now every character's role in the story is becoming clear, each with their own backstory/subplot. The only one that I'm still not too sure about is Shizuo, but the OP is certainly hinting some more Izaya/Shizuo drama in the future (Or in episode 16, that voice recording comic spoiled it would be another Shizuo-centric episode lol). And now we know Simon/Izaya is on the same side, pretty much, talking in some Martian language that could not be understood by anyone normal. OP/novel cover is also hinting Izaya/Namie, if I'm not mistaken. Fun to see how it would turn out.

The preview next episode sure looks promising!

Even though I never watched more than a full episode of K-ON!, I'm looking for S2 Yui icons like woah. She looks so awesome in the ending ♥

Fandom is being very divided on the new OP/ED because they have more emo-ness than actions, but I'm one of those who loved them ♥ I was very excited to learn SID and Nakagawa Shoko would be singing FMA's last theme songs since I like both of their music fairly well (though to be honest, it's surprising that they are hiring SID for the job again as they already did the first ED). I personally love how smoothly all the scenes flow together in the OP (especially the Bradley/Scar part) and all its symbolism. ED is lacking real animation but I could care less since the art is really beautiful in there. Loving both songs so much too.

All the emo-ness in the new sequences really makes me feel that they are going for a bittersweet ending - Ed and Winry will live, Al, Roy and Hohenheim, on the other hand, I'm not too sure about though. Plus Winry and Riza crying can't be good ;A; I heard the sequences were actually really spoilerific (they at least spoiled the 5 sacrifices for certain, but hey, we all knew who they were from the very beginning?)

Somehow Olivier has become my absolute favourite character in the series, and the abundance on Olivier-kicking-asses screentime in this episode doesn't help either *w* YOU JUST HAVE TO LOVE HOW SHE CAN STAND AGAINST SLOTH FOR SO LONG WITHOUT ANY SORT OF HEAVY WEAPONS/ALCHEMY. Plus her outwitting all those crappy officials? PWNAGE. But...

...yeah, that's the first thought that came to my mind @__@ Anyway. Someone please stop her from doing anything crazy next week. DON'T YOU DARE DIE LIKE THAT OLIVIER. Miles, if you don't make an epic entrance soon I shall ship Buccaneer/Olivier and Olivier/Roy for real. Or Olivier/Alex ohohohoho. Please excuse my sick mind.

...I should just call Buccaneer=Bear from now on.

Envy wins the most comedic villain award imho. It's sad (...and gross) to see him going back into his monster/human form as he's the cutest and funniest in that jar lol. Don't you just love his voice there? But sure, we all saw it coming and knew poor Mei would be tricked. It's only fair though because I want Envy to be eventually killed by Mustang. Yay revenge?

I'm finally liking Yoshino's Kimblee voice here. He usually talks so slowly that I'm just too impatient to wait for him to finish his line. But the way he says "Nice. very~nice, ALPHONSE ELRIC!" near the end of the episode totally sends chills down my spine @.@ But I still can't take Kimblee as a villain too seriously; I just can't feel the...um, threat from him? He's no match when it comes to physical fist fight, and I don't see what's so special about his alchemy if it wasn't because of the Philosopher's Stones. He got so much set up since the first episode yet he has barely done anything real threatening in the series without the Stones orz.

Other random thoughts:

-The animation isn't so consistent this episode and so you see animators cutting corners here and there, but it doesn't really affect the enjoyment that this episode brings anyway.
-Those Mannequin Soldiers were fricking creepy.
-Roy is being cool this few episodes. Hope that continues...but I doubt it.
-Loving all those Mei actions here *O*
-Lastly...

Eden of the East Movie I: King of Eden

The continuation of one of the best anime in 2009.

...THUS MY LOVE FOR EDEN IS REVIVED. Oh gosh long wait is long but it's worth it.

The opening was very, very pretty. If people said the anime opening sequence was beautiful already, then I seriously don't know what you can call this - while I liked the anime opening and thought it was unique, the movie opening was stunning beyond words (Or, according to Senjougahara Hitagi, I merely lack vocabulary). Every scene is top-wallpaper material. I wish I can use textures, abstracts and text as well as they do, haha. It also shows several scenes of the anime finale, including Saki riding on the merry-go-round while Akira watches her.

I was like "EEEEEEEEEEK" when I found out that Akira actually left Saki a message in his cell phone before he erased his memories. So that's why he slipped his phone into Saki's pocket! And then shipper mode 100% turned on. JUST AWWWW. I found it absolutely lovely how Akira has faith that he and Saki will meet once again ~~and fall in love~~ despite knowing he will forget about her as soon as Juiz goes beep and erases his memory, and Saki has been looking for him endlessly during all these six months - but no, that's not it! And then we found out, even without his memory, Akira still subconsciously remembers that he is waiting for a certain person just in front of Ground Zero...yeah he mixes it up and thinks it was a movie he watched but whatever. Good enough.

BUT MY GOOD LORD. The bond they share might be way deeper than what I expected before ♥♥♥

I would totally be left heartbroken if they can't be together at the end of Movie II (I'm doing quite a good job staying away from spoilers this time lol). There was an interview with the director/scriptwriter (can't remember which) that said Eden of the East was a story about "girl meets boy for 11 days" - and the anime covered the first 8-9 days, while the movies will cover the rest. And so I thought...does that mean after the eleventh day they won't see each other again? JUST PLAIN NO. The thought is terrifying ;A;

Oh right. Let's get back to the movie. As you can tell, I fail epically at writing reviews because I always get distracted with my fangirlism and just go plain off topic...yeah.

The movie actually has many scenes that resemble the anime, such as Saki going to the US and losing her passport/luggage, Akira running with Saki, Akira inviting Saki to go home with him and the two spending the night at the movie theatre (...no, it's not what you think) and Saki worrying that he would leave halfway, and lastly but not the least...the famous boat scene where Akira extended his hand to Saki becomes a plane scene this time. *laughs* Happy shipper is very happy with the amount of Akira/Saki interaction.

Point form for the rest because I'm writing too much:

-Saki looks awesome in that pink dress with her hair tied up ♥
-No. 6 is beyond insane. ~~Not that I mind a shower scene, but boo, you fail.~~ I love his conversation with Juiz though. *laughs* It was also a nice bonus that I managed to pick out Yoshino Hiroyuki's voice so I don't fail completely.
-Those who should be dead are revealed to be alive, just like Pantsu. Perhaps the Selecao game isn't what we thought after all.
-Shiratori being on the good side this time, sacrifices her Juiz so Akira can continue the game. And she comments how Juiz is her best sub-coordinate of all. Just baaaaaw ;A;
-...They seriously need to stop messing around with missles. Another sixty coming in Movie II, oh yeah.
-I want another kiss in Movie II. Any kind, just not a goodbye-kiss please.

MOVIE II. COME OUT ON DVD NOW. And no spoilers from those lucky ones who get to watch it in the Japanese theatres at this time please |D;

Kobato anime finale

Okay so, I liked the idea of dead!Kobato taking the contract challenge so she could be reborn to be with the person she likes, it's sweet and further emphasizes the soul-mate concept in all means - but I do not like the fact that that person is anime!Fujimoto.

They tried so hard to portray Fujimoto as a complete jerk for most of the anime, and by the time they attempt to fix his character in the last two or so episodes, it's already too late. I mean what the heck, he remained a complete bastard to Kobato even on the evening just before she left, telling her he's relieved that she wouldn't be able to accompanying him the next day, and then suddenly he started to cherish her in the final park scene?!

...For one thing, I cannot make out why would Kobato suddenly think -and realize- that Fujimoto is her most important person out of everybody, to the extent that she would give up filling the bottle so she could spend her last month with him.

Again, the idea is very sweet and endearing, but inconsistent writing and poor characterizations (especially on Fujimoto) has ruined the whole concept for me. Had Fujimoto's character been developed better, I would probably have gived the show an A+. Moreover, they could have told the whole story in 13 episodes and it would have been way more effective without unnecessary fillers, and everything would have been so much faster paced. The whole debt issue/Okiura was too conveniently solved too, wasting all the earlier set up.

I also realize that most of the fandom seems to hate Hanazawa Kana's Kobato voice. Personally I thought she performed better than what I expected (and her voice is fairly close to what I have imagined all along when I read the manga), though I do agree that sometimes she overexaggerated Kobato's...er, what's the right word? Freakiness? You get the idea. I still wished Kobato would be voiced by Nakahara Mai with a slightly calmer voice, but Hanazawa still did a decent job.

TL;DR, in conclusion:
Favourite episodes: 18, 23, and 24. 19 would be on the list if my Takashi/Kobato heart wasn't breaking into tiny pieces TT__TT
Favourite character: Doumoto Takashi.
Favourite character voice: Biased self wants to say TAKASHIIIII~ without second thought given 1)Kobato's wasn't the best 2)I dislike Fujimoto's from the beginning till the end 3)Ioryogi has good acting but his voice still doesn't fit him imo and 4)The rest of the cast either has too few lines...or their lines don't really require too much emotion/acting. Okay. I will stop trying to be objective here and just say Takashi (Kamiya Hiroshi) and Zuishou (Yoshino Hiroyuki).

Arakawa Under the Bridge episode 1

Summary: Bakemonogatari take two, minus inappropriate stationaries usage.

It has become clear that as long as SHAFT/Shinbou are still producing anime, Kamiya Hiroshi won't have trouble getting a lead role or two once in a while.

...But this time I actually wish it wasn't Kamiya that they hired. Don't get me wrong, his acting is beyond perfect as always and I totally would have loved Kou's voice as much as I should have if it wasn't that I watched Bakemonogatari and the show is still fresh in my memory. To keep it short...Kou resembles Koyomi way too much, and the voice and acting that Kamiya uses for both is way too similar. In other words, his voice to losing identity to me @A@ This has never happened before, no matter how many shows with Kamiya in it that I watch. Perhaps the Bakemono/Arakawa comparison is to be blamed?

On the other hand, I love that Sakamoto Maaya is voicing Nino ♥ I always get so happy when she gets a lead role, as I'm one of those weirdos who like her better for her voice work than for her singing. I also like Fujiwara Keiji as that...green guy. His acting is scoring really high in my mark book lately *w*

Episode-wise! I don't find the story especially interesting yet (and Shinbou-directed anime isn't always my cup of tea), but it does resemble Bakemonogatari in many ways. The visuals (especially the sceneries) are beautifully painted though. I guess I'll just keep an eye on the blog reviews for the future episode since it doesn't seem like the kind of show I would be impatiently anticipating every week - if I hear good things about it then I will keep watching.

WORKING!! episode 1

Summary: Durarara/Shizaya take two.

Okay, not really aside from the fact that we have Fukuyama Jun as the male lead, and then HiroC and OnoD suspectiously being buddies again and...those strips that scream "KEEP OUT!!" to me. Joking aside, WORKING!! feels like another of those slice-of-life anime, so if you like shows like Lucky Star/K-On then it's good and all. The problem is I don't |D; I guess I'll try a few more episodes and see if it gets more amusing.

I love that they have the girls singing the OP and the guys doing the ED though. That's just adorable ~~despite half of them can't sing~~ haha.

Hakuouki

Summary: Typical reverse harem with delicious samurai. Uhmmm.

I became interested in this since it screamed reverse harem to me...as I'm quite sick of regular harem shows that sell lolis and boobs. Bishies is a nice change, don't you agree? *w*

Hmm let's get serious here. First episode doesn't tell much other than some rather forceful introduction of the cast. The visuals are quite nice when they are doing it right, though I would worry about art/animation consistency later as I'm not a big fan of Studio DEEN. High chance I will eventually drop it like what I did with Shounen Onmyouji if the story doesn't become interesting soon, but I would give it several more episodes since it does look like the type of show I like.

It's quite uncommon to see Kuwashima Houko taking the lead role nowadays too, even though she is one of those ladies who can pull off a thousand voices and does all of them justice *w* MikiShin voicing another samurai totally reminds me of Fate/Stay Night in which he played Assassin, which was the first role of him that I heard now that I remember.

Ohh and the OP song is very nice, even though I don't like the animation that comes along with it. ED isn't bad either!

Skipping the ever-so-talked-about Angel Beats for now as I really dislike the character design+art style and the crazy lightings they add;;; The main girl really reminds me of Suzumiya Haruhi from what I can see in the screenshots. Everyone speculated why KEY turned to P.A. Works instead of KyoAni this time, and whether it is a good change or not we shall find out later. But aww, finally Kamiya gets to voice the male lead in a KEY title after Ono/Sugita/Nakamura and it's not KyoAni? ...Yeah it's Kamiya again. It seems like you can't really avoid him in Spring 2010 lol (I actually thought Yoshino Hiroyuki got the most roles at first when I skimmed through the Spring Anime Previews).

Still waiting for Vampire Knig...errr I mean Uragiri wa Boku no Namae wo Shitteiru next week. I'm glad to find out that I'm not the only one who found the artwork resembling VK lol. First heard of it due to its fabulous casting and its BL-ness. But I doubt it would be anywhere near hardcore otherwise Ishida Akira (probably Sakurai and Miyano too) wouldn't have signed himself up. *laughs* It's J.C.Staff (another studio that I don't have good records with @.@) though so I won't put my hopes too high orz.

Let's hope I won't keep watching all the new shows I listed above, otherwise...

One year. It has been a year since the finale of Gundam 00 was aired in Japan on March 29, 2009.
It has been a year and this show is still dominating my favourites chart.

I love you, Gundam 00! ♥♥♥

I don't care if people think that the second season is total trainwreck, I loved it and enjoyed every minute of it, and I still do. In fact, it's probably one of my favourite shows ever. Sure, it's not flawless and there are lots of places that disappoint, but in my heart, G00 is still the best thing ever. I don't care if the ending is going to be good or bad, happy or sad, I will surely cry over it anyway for the lack of Gundays in the future. Nothing can ever replace it ;A;

At least today this year I won't have to cry about FMA ending, haha. ~~But I should be crying about my chem and math. I totally should be but I can't bring myself to care anymore orz.~~

Durarara!! episode 10

Now I can't decide whether I like this or episode 3 better ffff.

I will mention some spoilers that haven't been explicitly said in the anime yet, but if you have been paying close attention to all the previous episodes (...or have been stalking Pixiv lately) then it shouldn't be spoilers to you anymore.

I ship eeeeeeeeeeeeeet ♥♥♥

Yeah yeah I know I was just shipping Shizuo/Selty and Shinra/Selty like mad last week thanks to that "Leave it to me mai hunni~♥" and hand-grabbing scene...but I can't help it ♥♥♥ WTF SELF MAKE UP YOUR MIND OF WHAT YOU WANT TO SHIP IN DRRR ALREADY. Okay I tried to tell myself that but apparently it doesn't work lol.

You know what I enjoy the most about the series? That I want to speculate and connect the dots and then unlock all the mysteries before the anime lays it all out -it's like a race- which I always fail to because landmines just seem to chase me around. Funny how my strong interest in Durarara only started because I learned about Mikado's biggest secret from accidental spoilers - I have always look forward to seeing how they are going to reveal it ultimately.

Back to the chatroom people~! So it was obvious that Mikado=Tarou from the very first episode. Izaya=Kanra isn't that hard to figure out either as (s)he is always the most manipulative and knowledgable in the scenes...and hey who else would go "I'm scared~~~~~! >A<" like a 5 year old when Shizuo's name is mentioned lol. Setton was the hardest to guess for me (I first thought it would be Dotachin because of the calmness, but then the personality doesn't really match), but it became quite clear to me the first time Setton defended for Shizuo during that episode while Izaya/Kanra was spreading all the negative rumors about him. It must be awkward for Selty that they were talking about her all the time in the chatroom lol.

Now I just need to think deeper on who the fourth spammer would be. Izaya kinda hinted it in episode 9 when he stared at the empty chatroom and commented on how everybody was busy - And the people who were "busy" during that time? Mikado, Selty, Shinra, Seiji, Mika-girl, Namie. Mikado and Selty are out for obvious reason; Shinra is out of suspect for me too because while he's crazy in a way...he's not emotionally unstable enough to capslock all those LOVE LOVE LOVEL OVELOVEOLVEOVLEO lol. Seiji is out too because he probably doesn't have the time to sit in front of a computer when he could have gone to find his...er, love. I have always thought that it would be that Mika-girl, but now I thought it's more likely to be Namie especially after her whole narrated episode on love. In a way she does seem to be crazier than Mika, and more twisted too rofl.

With all this happening, now ~~my first love~~ Shizuo/Izaya seems to be the least appealing pairing to me - but I'm sure they will revive it within a few episodes and then I would be capslocking and squeeing about them in no time lol.

Speaking of Shizuo, now I think about it, all the major characters shown so far are either more or less involved in gangs (especially the Dollars) or are connected to the whole head issue - with the exception of Shizuo. Idk, he could be involved in a gang as well but for whatever reason that doesn't seem likely to me...so I'm wondering what exactly is his role in the story. There has to be something special about him (other than his exaggerated powers) otherwise Izaya wouldn't be especially picking on and antagonizing him all this time, right? Now I just need to break my brain and figure out what that something is. Hmmmm.

Ending my babbling and speculations here, tiny comments on the episode:

-I love Mamo's Kida voice so much in this episode that it's not even funny.
-On the other hand, I'm not really liking Mikado's - or rather, I should say, I like his voice (and think it fits his character) but something about how he talks is bugging me.
-Lol at Selty's epic failure at lying. Usually it's easier to lie when people can't see your face and read your expression...but apparently she still fails. In a cute way.
-Izaya behaving like a 5 year old is pure win. Kicking open the door is epic pure win. Ohhh if he was one second slower his boss would have been killed, and that bastard knew all this would happen yet he still let Mikado to go inside all by himself lol. That guy is indeed a super hyper irresponsible bastard.
-Lastly...

Although I'd like you to be my girlfriend...you are not my type.
Ohhhhhh Izaya. I'm sure lots of people want to be your girlfriend out there...or probably boyfriend too. xD; (Note: Me not included because I want someone more normal! NORMAL!)

An update on my narrator list:
Selty > Masaomi > Shinra > Kyohei = Shizuo > Mikado > Namie > Simon
...Would Izaya's turn ever come? But Anri's would probably come first.

The official site also confirms that there would be a second OP and ED. I'm having mixed feelings on this because while they would probably make them amazing as well, to me, Uragiri no Yuuyake and Trust Me had become part of Durarara's identity. We will see how it will end up anyway!

I seriously should do some manga colouring. Like seriously. My tablet is simply sitting there collecting dust. Aside from the usual "no time" (which is true; this school term proves to be even busier and more stressful than the last. And when I actually have the time I have no tablet/PS access), I also have...er, no mood, I guess that's what you call it. Usually when I see a good panel in a manga I will have the urge wanting to colour it - but that urge hasn't pop up for months. It doesn't help that -with three of my current favourite fandoms being anime: Gundam, FMA, Drrr!- I'm more obsessed with anime and music and seiyuu than manga recently orz.

AHAHAHA WTF IZAYA HOW COULD YOU POSSIBLY TURN THE MOST ADORABLE OPENING EVER INTO SOMETHING SO EVIL? But I am very amused. I wonder which song they would choose when it's finally Izaya's turn to do a cover, hmmm. It has to be something made of pure evilness. xD;

4th Annual Seiyuu Awards...predictions!

The 4th Annual Seiyuu Awards ceremony is taking place in 2 days, so the results should be leaked at anytime now. I'd just like to throw in my two cents and laugh at how far off I am later, haha.

First off, to make things easier all the previous winners of Best Lead awards are excluded from any major awards this year -with the exception of the Overseas Choice- because it's unlikely the committee will give the same people another big one in such a short time. Those people include Paku Romi, Hirano Aya, Kugimiya Rie, Fukuyama Jun, Miyano Mamoru and Kamiya Hiroshi. FukuJun is probably out of the possibility of Overseas Choice as well, as he had already gotten the honour last year due to his Lelouch fame. Now that easily eliminates some of the biggest stars in the industry this year.

Secondly, it always appears to me that the award committee does not have a definite definition of what is a "lead" role and what is a "supporting" role, so let's just say Best Lead is the crown award while Best Supporting is the "next big thing." Haha.

Now let's start!

BEST MALE LEAD:

Ono Daisuke would be my first pick...and lots of 2ch'ers are speculating him as well, from what I've read. Let's break it down - fame, check. Fan base, check. ~~Good looks, check.~~ To make it even more likely to happen, he had won a Best Supporting award before. If we follow the trend, most Best Lead winners (with the exception of Miyano Mamoru, but he was at least nominated in the 1st Awards nonetheless) had won something in the previous awards. My only doubt with OnoD is that he didn't have any memorable lead roles in 2009 - if memory serves me right, 11eyes was his one and only lead? Unless if Kuroshitsuji somehow made it into the cut, even though it was considered 2008. Or the committee would be desperate enough to count even Final Fantasy XIII...But oh wait this is supposed to be anime works only, I guess.

Which brings me to ~~Itsuki's gay lover~~ Sugita Tomokazu as the next most possible candidate. He fits into all of the criteria mentioned above just like OnoD, but he also has one big advantage - he did have a real big memorable lead role in 2009! Now no matter how much Endless Eight sucked, he still did an incredible job voicing Kyon and definitely deserves something for his role.

I wish ~~Sugita's gay lover~~ Nakamura Yuuichi can win with Clannad as well, but oh what's the chance. it just doesn't make sense to me how he had gotten nothing so far. Nothing. Even though he's another of the industry's current biggest stars.

But you know who I think deserves this award the most in 2009? Kamiya Hiroshi. For his role as Araragi Koyomi in Bakemonogatari. Tl;dr, to sum it up, Koyomi was the single best played male lead I've heard in 2009 - if not my whole life. He's also the most satisfying Kamiya role I've heard so far imo. This is one of those moments which I curse why did they randomly give Kamiya the award last year...or why do they always have to give people the wrong awards in the wrong years. But I'm still a happy fangirl overall. *laughs*

BEST FEMALE LEAD:

Saitou Chiwa seems to be the most likely choice all thanks to the "Senjougahara-tore" (read: Bakemonogatari) fame - if it wasn't that her name was so new to the awards. Everyone was amazed at how well Senjougahara Hitagi was played by her when Bakemonogatari first aired, especially because it isn't one of her typical loli roles. Everything actually makes sense for her to claim the award this year, but like I said, she has never won anything before so I'm not sure one Senjougahara Hitagi is enough to grant her that honour.

I've also constantly heard about Koshimizu Ami amazing performance as Horo in Spice and Wolf, even though I have never watched the show myself so I can't judge. It's quite possible though, as she had gotten Best Supporting before for Kallen in Code Geass.

Sawashiro Miyuki is the next person coming up in my mind as she has been getting quite a lot of exposure lately, though I'm sure if she had another lead roles in 2009. Also makes sense as she got Best Supporting last year. But they can always save her for 2010 for her sole as Selty in Durarara...though it's probably still too early to tell.

BEST MALE SUPPORTING

Not much clue, too much unpredictability and too many possibilities. It's not like FukuJun or Hirano Aya's breaking roles as Lelouch and Haruhi; they can easily throw in someone random for this and it will still be logical, you know? There are simply too many deserving candidates for this imo.

That said, I really wish Miki Shinichirou and Sakurai Takahiro can be recognized this time. And of course Nakamura Yuuichi again.

Two years ago people speculated that if Miyano Mamoru was going to win with Setsuna F. Seiei, then either Miki or Kamiya would win Best Supporting - and they were not off at all, because Mamo-chan and Kamiya did win with their respective Gundam roles after all. Perhaps the committee is feeling a little bad for leaving MikiShin out last time, maybe not. But Roy Mustang from FMA is definitely a potential winning role.

Sakurai, on the other hand, should have won something a long time ago if it wasn't because of that controversial plagarism scandal back then in 2006. It's really a shame that his popularity still hasn't fully recovered from that as he has proved he has an incredible amounts in voice acting. The memorable Suzaku from Code Geass was pushed to the side, so hopefully Meme from Bakemonogatari can grant him something this time. Which I just realized both of the only two male characters in Bakemono were voiced by the figures of tragedy (maybe not-so-much in Sakurai's case, as we will never know the truth behind it) in 2006 - Kamiya from the car accident and Sakurai from the scandal. Now I feel like rewatching the show again...

BEST FEMALE SUPPORTING

Seriously no clue on this one, I'm not kidding. Same as above, too many candidates and random possiblities. Personally I think people like Kawasumi Ayako, Horie Yui, Tamura Yukari, Nazuka Kaori are long-overdue for an award of some sort, but hey, lots of other seiyuu also are. Out of the random four mentioned above Horie Yui probably has the best chance because Bakemonogatari was one of the biggest things in 2009, and she definitely deserves it for Hanekawa Tsubasa. It's one of the most pleasant roles I've heard from her.

BEST ROOKIE

This one is easier. On the male section - Maeno Tomoaki. Everyone says he should have gotten it last year, but he hadn't. Another long-overdue award? Maybe the results two days later will tell. Rumors from 2ch also said Irino Miyu would be one of the winners though I'm not sure how that would work out...while he's young (just passed his 22nd birthday), he's anything but new to the industry.

Onto the females, Hanazawa Kana's name is the first to pop up in my head. Definitely one of the fastest growing female seiyuu in 2009 that you hear almost everywhere nowadays, and as a result, stirring up a lot of haters/anti-fans just like her preceedors Hirano Aya and Tomatsu Haruka. Bonus because she participated in Bakemonogatari because again, it's one of the hottest shows in 2009. There's also Takagaki Ayahi, Toyosaki Aki, Ito Kanae and Hayami Saori. Good thing Tomatsu Haruka is already out of the game otherwise there would be intense competition for this category. At least one of those names above is going to win something for sure.

BEST MUSICAL PERFORMANCE

Let's see. Mizuki Nana and Nakajima Megumi are out of the game. Hmmm...

Then logic tells me that something K-On! would win, probably Don't say lazy. Or they might surprise us with any one of the random openings from Bakemonogatari. Or Motto! Hade ni ne from Kannagi would work too. Or they feel bad for still not giving Sakamoto Maaya a singing award all these times (the problem is whether Kobato made it into the cut...I believe voting began prior to the Fall season last year). Or some random Sphere songs will shine.

...What I know for certain is that someone, or some group, female is going to get it. ~~I'm counting on Miyano Mamoru to raise the bar for male seiyuu singing in the future!~~

BEST PERSONALITY

Don't pay too much attention to this one because my fail Japanese does not allow me to listen to radio 24/7. Though I would laugh if OnoD gets it and all the DGS fangirls go crazy...eh-hm. Excuse me. xD; It's probably not going to happen anyway.

OVERSEAS CHOICE

Idk, why don't you people tell me who you voted? *laughs*

Since the all-hail-Lelouch!FukuJun should be out of the picture so he doesn't receive the award every year, I'm only left with three most possible names on this - Mizuki Nana, Hirano Aya and Kamiya Hiroshi.

I don't think I need to elaborate on Mizuki Nana, if you like seiyuu and anime and music and you haven't heard of her name...then I don't know what to say lol. The queen of anisons who broke all possible records existed in the history of seiyuu. Definitely well-known enough overseas. She is confirmed to be the recipient of the Kei Tomiyama Award this year already -and well deserving- in case if you are not aware of it.

Hirano and Kamiya, on the other hand, are also two very possible candidate because 1) they have already gotten top honours in the Awards before and there's not much else the committee can give them other than the Overseas award - that's if they don't want their names to disappear from the seiyuu awards forever after; and 2) I can totally picture their mad fanboys and fangirls finding 50 different computers each to vote and crashing the site as a result rofl.

This fail person forgot to cast her vote before the deadline so she has nothing else to say \o/ Next year, definitely. At least I hope I remember |D;

There is a reason why Lockon/Tieria has remained as my top OTP all these times despite a certain someone's early death. To the point that even the Tomoya/Nagisa epicness couldn't beat them last Spring (they are still my second favourite pairing of all times though).

Let's get one fact -or rather, opinion- straight: Neil!Lockon never bore any romantic feelings for anyone in CB at the time of his death. Sometimes I would even like to believe that Lockon was purposely detaching himself from everyone else or at least not to commit to any kind of serious romance/relationship, maybe he subconsciously feared losing another person he loved, or maybe he simply didn't want any unnecessary feelings to hinder his grand plans for CB - and even more importantly, revenge. The whole Feldt-comforting or Tieria-saving act didn't, and probably would never, scream romance to me. Personally I can't imagine Lockon loving Feldt in any other way than hoping that she would find her own happiness one day (she's more like a sister to him), and regarding Tieria...how about this: He would have done it even if it wasn't Tieria in the motionless giant robot. He would have rushed to risk and sacrifice himself in order to protect his comrades without second thoughts, be it Setsuna, Allelujah, Tieria, and any other CB members. He's just that kind of person.

On the other hand, you cannot deny that it was apparent Tieria does have feelings for Lockon - whether it's simply strong admiration mixed with gratitude or romance is up to you to decide. It's not like Feldt's in which they explicitly said it's her first crush, Tieria's feelings for Lockon was kept vague...and they have to keep it vague as they probably don't want to do explicit BL in the Gundam franchise.
The others probably can argue and explain much better than I ever could in here on this matter. At the very least, it's safe to say Lockon is the single most influential and important person to Tieria. You probably have easily picked that up only from the anime already, but it's the most evident in the Complete Best monologue and the novel excerpts above (that's if you count them as official material, which I do; on the other hand I only view the side comics as semi-canon) and let's not mention the hints in the many other supplementary materials released (comics, game, magazine articles etc). The novels are always the friendliest source to Lockon/Tieria fangirls though - it's the closest thing to "canon" after the anime, the most reliable - and it doesn't have a lot of extra Tieria-->Lockon moments in it (another big bonus is that Lyle had way better characterization).

So yes. It has always been a one-sided Tieria-->Lockon to me. And despite that, they have been my favourite pairing since January 2009. It's no way fair to Tomoya/Nagisa I know (they genuinely love each other -married with a child and a happy-ever-after ending and all...after some really unforgettable drama -it's easily one of the simplest but also the most beautiful romance in the history of anime), but hey, I can't control whom and what to love the most. It's simply the thought of how much Tieria changed due to Lockon, and how more or less all his actions and decisions in S2 were influenced by Lockon that made the pairing special for me. (I can't remember for sure whether it was stated in the supplementary materials or if I mixed in the bits from fanfics that I read, but somewhere mentioned Tieria led the restoration of CB during the 4 years gap - and he rebuilt it because of Lockon. And he didn't join the Innovators in S2 because of Lockon. Oh yeah, everything is because of Lockon...)

We didn't know whether Lockon would change his attitude on revenge or reciprocate any of his admirers'(lol) feelings in the future had he lived through the battle, and the saddest thing is that we probably never would - because damnit, he did not live. There won't be the slightest opportunity for any Neil-related romance to develop now. It's over. But it leaves room from for us to fantasize and form our own interpretation of the pairing at the very least...and all the hints we get from the supplementary materials don't put all our imaginations in vain :P

So some not-so-tiny excerpts from the newest novel inspired me to write all this tl;dr about my favourite pairing of all times all of a sudden. And my Lockon/Tieria fangirlism is back again, if it had ever died in the first place. At this rate they are never going to fall off my otp chart. One whole year of excessive shipping and may it continue!

Other bits from the novel:
-Patrick/Kati was as adorable as ever.
-On the other hand, Alle/Marie was still as boring as ever. It just seems like none of the supplementary material can add much to this pairing, unlike Lyle/Anew.
-And Ali still makes me want to butcher him alive as much as ever.
-At least 0 Gundam's GN Drive was destroyed, Ribbons has one less trump card.
-More Setsuna/flower/Feldt ship EEEEEEK ♥
-It also made me very Setsuna/Tieria shippy. I've always shipped them as bbf though.
-NOW TIERIA, STOP MAKING ME GO BAAAW WITH EVERY WORD YOU SAY?

HOLY CRAP I AM SOLD

Sorry I can't help it but...I think I ship Takashi/Kobato now. Like, for real. That scene was just way too...aww. I don't even know how to describe my feelings. So does that count as a confession? I mean, usually you don't hint nothing when you tell someone "I like girls that are just like you", unless if you are saying it in such a innocent way without much thought, but it certainly isn't like that in Takashi's case given his slightly disappointed expression after realizing Kobato didn't think of it that way (poor guy got rejected before he even had a chance |D). He even tried to ask Kobato to spend Christmas Day together jdskljflsdf.

Funny how I've always thought it's Fujimoto that Takashi liked, especially after the cat episode.

So yeah. I went from shipping Fujibato to Takashi/Kobato. Don't know how it happened, but to be honest I don't care too much about Fujimoto at the moment...Perhaps it has to do with the fact that Fujimoto isn't exactly that unlikable in the anime and I'm one of those weirdos who like the anime better.

It's nice to have something to ship again in Kobato, although we all know the ship is doomed from the very beginning TTwTT Soon we will have the whole stereotypical "Girl loves guy who is mean to her rather than the sparkly kind one" because omg they are destined to be together. Oh that sure reminds me of some cliched shoujo/BL manga...Anyway.

For once I finally belong to the double minority in a fandom. Favourite character being Zuishou and OTP is Takabato. Please don't hate me, I really can't help it;;;

/LOOPS THE SCENE AGAIN BAAAAAAW

Semi-Kobato related, congrats to Kamiya for winning the seiyuu category in the 9th Annual Tokyo Anime Awards for his role as Koyomi in Bakemonogatari! Some previous winners include Park Romi (Edward), Hirano Aya (Haruhi) and Fukuyama Jun (Lelouch). Very well deserved, for I can't possibly can't stress enough how Koyomi is the single most impressive role Kamiya has played till today imo (especially how most of the spotlight in Bakemono went to the females - especially Saitou Chiwa/Hitagi - but hey, all the VAs were beyond outstanding in Bakemono. Koyomi just happened to stand out to me more either because I was biased or because he's the lead, and therefore naturally had the most lines and chances to stand out). Now I should go back to hear his screams in episode 8 again, ohohoho. ~~Next goal shall be the Overseas Award in the 4th Seiyuu Annual Awards!~~

Durarara!! episode 6

AHAHAHAHA THE PASSWORD TO THE WEBSITE IS BACCANO
For some reason I found that really amusing. xD;

Onto the episode.
They are really hinting where Selty's (or is it Celty? I swear that I saw it with an S just a few episodes back...) head is this time, ufufufu. Or at least that's where I think it is. Now Shinra seems more innocent to me in this matter, in a way.
And ooooh Shinra. You have to stop being so clumsy and adorable ~~singing in the shower.~~

So another mad scientist showed up, revealed to be Seiji's sister. And Seiji is still in rabu-rabu mode. The otaku gang is revealed to be part of the Dollars as expected, and just ahahaha for them to suspect Izaya as the leader (...well, anyone would have in this case). Wtf Izaya needs to stop making up nicknames for everyone |D;

Lol Simon/Russian sushi place is finally getting some customers! And lots of them this time, actually. I found the image of Izaya eating sushi really ridiculous for some reasons. X3;

No more Shizuo/dog? Awww. But we did have some brief Shizaya chasing. And this time he dodged the...thing. I forgot if it's a trash can again or something else. xD; Izaya is being playful and irresponsible as usual. Oh wait. How did Shizuo know the location of the van that Selty is looking for?

Not a terribly exciting episode, but it lays out enough foreshadowing and character introduction.
BUT OMFG WHO CARES SHIZUO/ONOD NARRATION NEXT WEEK. CANNOT WAIT ~~HAHAHA HE SAID HE HATES VIOLENCE~~ ♥♥♥ Seems like we are getting some back story of Shizaya as well. If I wasn't spoiled enough about it from Pixiv already |D;

Speaking of spoilers. This time another landmine told me the identities of the chatroom people >__>;; But oh well, it was only Setton that I had no clue about before (but given the hint in episode 1, there could only be three possible candidates for Setton to begin with). I still don't know who the spammer is, but I do have a clue because there aren't that many emotionally unstable characters that seem like internet trolls in the show anyway.

Anyway. My order of preference for the narrations so far:
Selty > Masaomi > Shinra > Kyohei = Mikado > Simon. Beat the list next week, OnoD!

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood episode 43

Okay so at first I was like "what the heck?" because the battle at Briggs finished so quickly. I was half expecting some epic Utawarerumono fight or at least some serious damage done to Briggs, but hey, everyone survived so I'm not complaining! And Kimblee did barely anything again this time. I just can't take his threat as a villain seriously at this rate...

IT WAS SO AMUSING TO SEE ENVY GETTING PWN'ED BY MEI AHAHAHAHA. And Scar working alongside with the gang. And Marcoh showing off some power instead of being a sick old doctor this episode. In the end, I'm glad that Envy isn't dead yet; if he has to be killed then it better be by Roy's hands. Just so he can fulfill his vow back then in episode 10 or something.

I can't possibly express what a good job Takayama Minami did for Envy's voice this whole time. But now I think about it, all the Homoculus have awesome voices, especially Gluttony, Lust and Greed. Or I should just say about everyone in the show. The one that I didn't like? Winry. Which is sad because I love her character ;w; It's not too bad when she's talking normally (although not as impressive as the other guys in the show for sure), but that let-it-out scene in ep22 still gives me goose-bumps...

I can't believe they let Mei left with Envy just like that lsdkfjsl. For a moment I really thought she would confess to Al haha. Hopefully nothing bad would happen, but darn I'm going to miss Mei. We barely heard from the Xing people who left for almost 20 episodes D': It seems like Greedy Ling will be back very soon though, as this month's magazines have huge FMA-related articles on Nakamura and Miyano ♥

THE ARMSTRONGS ARE THE AWESOME OMG. I still find it hard to believe that Olivier is the older of the two, pfft. And she has probably made it to my favourite female in the show already, oh. Now I just need some Miles/Olivier or Olivier/Roy interaction to please my fangirlry heart *w*

Kobato episode 17

I don't care about pointless the episode was to some, I'm happy enough just to see Zuishou being adorable and all sldfjsl ♥♥♥ And of course Takashi being a good gentleman that he always is. Now some more Okiura and it'd be perfect.

I haven't been following Holic's manga ever since TRC concluded, but I kinda know what's with Watanuki. He looks so different in MadHouse style, something about his glasses doesn't look right to me. And he sounds quite different too, even though it was still FukuJun.

...and I realize that I don't really care about Fujimoto anymore nowadays orz.

Durarara!! episode 5

Dear Durarara!!:

I completely absolutely definitely totally can't stand your awesomeness. PLEASE MARRY ME!

Forget what I said about Shinra last week; I am loving him now. I love the fact that he's not the usual anime stereotypical mad scientists/doctors who treat all his subjects as objects, at least what I can tell he does genuinely care about Selty even if it's in a twisted way. (Spoiler, maybe)From what the orz!landmine has told me about that Harima girl, I'm highly suspecting that Shinra knows more about Selty's head than he lets on - worst senario, he did all he could to hide it from Selty hahaha. I mean, he has both the ability and the motive to. Though I hope my guesses are wrong :/(end spoiler)

So that Seiji guy and the...uh whatever-you-want-to-call-the-girl are hooking up already. Now that's fast. ~~Why do I find them so sweet though?~~ We need to know what happened between them.

Nice to see Izaya not being a bastard for a few seconds. I can't decide which one I'm more curious, Shizuo/Izaya or Kida/Izaya's past. Something's definitely up with Kida of how he's so intimidated (...would that even be the right word?) by Izaya. The girl in the hospital(?) resembles Kida quite a lot, I wonder if they are anyway related or they were just friends?

I'm still not sold on Mikado or Anri yet. They definitely need more sparkles; the supporting cast is radiating way too much shine =w=;

Nakamuraaaaa next episode! One reason to love it already, haha. Need to see more of Shizuoxdog. But I don't want poor doggie to get smashed by a refrigerator though. Also can't wait to see how much the gang told Kida about the Dollars; it makes me wonder how much does Kida really know about (since it was already hinted in episode 2 that everyone in the show knows more than they let on...at least now it's safe to say Kyohei is involved with the Dollars, just as an example). That look on Kida's face does seem like he genuinely wants to keep Mikado safe - and is determined to do so - so somehow I am sort of wishing out of everyone Kida will be the one who doesn't have a connection with the gangs yet. But oh what's the chance. xD;

SPEAKING OF THAT. Didn't I mention how much I love Kida in this episode? ♥♥♥ (And he actually talked more like a normal person as the narrator, I'm relieved. I was afraid it would spell out H-Y-P-E-R every second. xD ...Oh and it's confirmed ~~with my unreliable ears~~. The narrator of the episode voices the chatroom scenes; they all sound like Miyano to me this time.) I love that Kida also has an uneasy side in him, and his friendship with Mikado might even be deeper than I thought. Random 2: JUST WHAT DO THEY WANT TO DO WITH KUROSHITSUJI?! Unlike most people, I actually liked the anime. The ending was perfect for me. But Kuroshitsuji isn't Kuroshitsuji without Sebastian and Ciel as the lead, which part of that do you not get? ;A;
EDIT: Random 3: THAT SAJI/LOUISE PIC OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG ♥♥♥ But uh, September. That means I probably won't see it until 2011, unless if I go visit Japan at that time orz.

I love how Pixiv's Daily Ranking is dominated by Durarara!! arts already, especially the Shizaya ones. There are seven or eight fanarts of them in the first page (top 50) of the chart already, ahahaha. This has never happened before in Pixiv! I mean, Pixiv ranking is about cute, moe, cute, Vocaloid, more moe, K-ON, and yuri most of the time. Nice to see something that doesn't belong to the moe genre claiming the rankings for once.

...But what the heck, Shizaya had less than five minutes of interaction in the anime so far and fandom is shipping them like mad already. Maybe something interesting happened between them in the later chapters of the manga/novel? Or maybe the fact that it's HiroC and OnoD casting them attracted hundreds of seiyuu slashers already. Or maybe the trash can love is just special (Now I think about it, the fact that it was a trash can made the scene five times more amusing than, say, a vending machine...). Whichever it is, I'm not complaining ♥ /is content At this rate I'm going to start shipping the two myself. I mean, didn't I begin to pay attention to Lockon/Tieria last year thanks to fandom influence as well? X3

It's still too early to tell, but let's see if DRRR!! can top the sales chart just like Bakemonogatari this year. Oh why am I so happy to see Bakemono beating Haruhi lately? ~~So Kadokawa/KyoAni can stop the trolling and get serious now that they have some real competitors, yaaaay.~~

But darn it, just why do I always step on DRRR!! landmines?! Can't people warn before mentioning any spoilers from the manga/novel when the bbs thread/blog post is only about a certain anime episode!? TT.TT Now I think I know where Selty's head is. And the leader of Dollars. I love how telling me one little spoiler can lead me to speculate (and I think my speculations are actually pretty close this time - at least I'm quite confident about them) so many things about the plot and characters, orz. I should just avoid all blog posts and forums from now on :/

But darn it, Gundam and Clannad don't make it because they belong to the Fall 2008 group?! Not fair! How can you even talk about 2009 animes without mentioning those two titles? ;A; Three votes are definitely enough for me then...
