  • Internships—learn and earn

Gain real work experience while you study. Work on meaningful projects, receive mentorship from career professionals, and build a resume that stands out.

Federal internships are available to students enrolled in qualifying educational institutions. Many are paid and may offer a path to long-term federal employment.

  • Recent graduates—launch your career

Turn your degree into real work. Step into entry-level roles that offer training, mentorship, and professional development.

The Recent Graduates Program supports individuals who completed a qualifying degree or certificate within the past two years (longer for veterans). These roles are designed to accelerate your professional growth in federal service.

  • Skills-based hiring—your abilities matter

Show what you can do. Many federal jobs assess applicants based on demonstrated skills, competencies and experience—not just education.

Review each job announcement to understand how your qualifications will be evaluated and how your work experience aligns with the role.
