Manage Player Availability using the Pitchero Club app or Pitchero Manager app
This article provides information on using the Pitchero Club app or legacy Pitchero Manager app to manage player availability on Pitchero.

View player availability
Players set their availability for the upcoming date and is a useful gauge for Team Admins and Webmasters to manage player numbers and enter a team selection for the team's fixture.
The Team Admin or Webmaster's default view shows the players in that team and their status for the team's upcoming fixture or training session date.
From time-to-time, the Team Admin or Webmaster may need to check the availability of players in other teams (e.g. the First team is short of players and needs to draw players from the Second and Third).
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the team's fixture
- See a summary of player availability for the upcoming date; Available, Maybe, Unavailable, Not Set
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Manager app on your iOS or Android phone
- Tap the fixture on the Match Centre screen
- Webmasters with full access to Teams can view fixtures across all teams, or navigate to a specific team's fixtures
- Team Admins will only see the team(s) they manage
- Tap Availability
Top tip:
By default, the Availability screen for a fixture will show the players of that team only. The Team Admin or Webmaster can:
- Apply filters on the screen; Availability status, member group, and/or gender.
- Tap the filter icon in the top right corner
- Tap the filter option; Availability, Group, or Gender
- Enter the filter action and tap the back icon in the top left corner
- Tap Done in the top right corner to apply the filter
- View players of other teams (the first team may be short of players for the upcoming game and needs to check which players in the second and third teams are available).
- In this case, the first team admin can view the players in other teams, and their availability status for that date, but, they cannot see the player's member information.
- If a player from another team is prompted for availability, this team's fixture will show in their Schedule to set availability.
Please note:
Player Availability is used to track the availability of members with the Player role.
Player Availability is not available for members with the Coach role (unless they also have the Player role of the team(s).
Prompt players for their availability
Using the new Pitchero Club app
Step-by-step guide:
- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the team's fixture
- Tap 'VIEW ALL' in the Player Availability section
- Tap 'Prompt these players'
- Tap 'YES' to confirm the action
Players (or their parent(s)) who have not yet set their availability for the upcoming date will be sent a prompt to set their availability.
The prompt will be sent as a push notification and/or email based on the user's own settings.
Top Tip:
The above information explains how to prompt all players (who have yet to set their availability) as a bulk action. You can also prompt players individually.

- Tap on the player's name
- Tap 'Prompt for availability'
A prompt will be sent to the individual player to set their availability.
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
- Tap 'Availability'
- Tap 'Prompt Players' to send notifications to all members who haven't already confirmed their availability
- Tap 'OK' to confirm
Mark a player's availability manually
Players (or their parent(s)) may separately communicate their availability externally from Pitchero (e.g. at training). Where possible, admins should advise members to set their availability directly on Pitchero as it saves volunteers time.
The Team Admin/Webmaster can manually set/update a player's availability status manually on Pitchero.

- Load the Pitchero Club app on your phone
- Tap 'Matches' towards the top of the screen
- Tap on the team's fixture
- Tap 'VIEW ALL' in the Player Availability section
- Tap on the player's name
- Tap 'Change'
- Set the player's availability status for the upcoming date; Available, Unavailable, Maybe, Not Set
Using the legacy Pitchero Manager app
Step-by-step guide:
- Log into your Manager app
- Select the fixture from the 'Match Centre'
- Tap 'Availability'
- Tap a Player's name who you wish to prompt
- Tap the icon on the left of the current availability for the Player
- Select 'Available', 'Unavailable', 'Not sure' or 'Not set' for the new availability
