What is OUTtv?

OUTtv is the world’s first and leading LGBTQ+ streaming service, offering original series, documentaries, and specials made by and for the queer community.

Available on Apple TV, iOS, Android, Roku, Fire TV, and web browsers, OUTtv can also be added as a Prime Video Channel (US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia), an Apple TV Channel (US, Canada), and on The Roku Channel (US). Content availability varies by region.

How can I subscribe to OUTtv?

OUTtv is available to residents of Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Mexico, Israel, Brazil, Argentina, Taiwan, and the United States.  To subscribe go to https://www.outtv.com.

If you prefer to view content through a mobile device or tablet, download the OUTtv app from the Android, iOS and Roku app store.

In Canada, Australia, and the United States, OUTtv is available as a channel on Apple TV and on Amazon Prime Video. In the United States it is also available on Roku, Comcast, and Cox as a channel.

How much is a subscription to OUTtv.com?

All plans include a 7-day free trial. Prices are the same in CAD, USD, AUD, and NZD.

  • Monthly: $5.99
  • Six months: $29.99
  • Annual: $59.99 (best value — roughly $5/month)

Applicable taxes are added at checkout.

OUTtv has partnered with Cleeng to manage its video eCommerce activities.  Cleeng is an industry leading solution in this field.  Cleeng simplifies the access to our content.  Using your email address, it takes just a few seconds to create a Cleeng account and then purchase using Visa, MasterCard or PayPal.  You can track your purchase in settings through the content library and connect on any of your devices.

How does OUTtv choose TV series and movies to stream?

The OUTtv programming team partners with content providers to license compelling LGBTQ2+ content.  We have relationships with producers and broadcasters all over the world to license and commission the best available TV series, movies and documentaries.

How do I use a promo code?

Please follow the instructions below to activate your subscription with a promo code:

  1. Visit https://www.outtv.com.
  2. Click login in the top right corner of the homepage.
  3. Click Sign up now.
  4. Enter your email, a password, your name, your province/state, accept the terms and conditions and click continue.
  5. Click select your plan applicable to the promo code you have.
  6. Click Add promo code.
  7. Enter the promo code.
  8. Enter your Credit Card information.
  9. Click confirm.

In addition to streaming content on our website, you can access OUTtv by downloading the OUTtv app on Apple TV, iOS, Android or Roku.  Once you have downloaded, just sign in with the username and password you created on the site.

*Note: Your OUTtv paid membership is a month-to-month subscription that begins after your free trial period ends.  You can cancel at any time within the length of the trial at no cost.

How does billing work?

Once you have started a subscription, your credit card will be billed on the same day every month, based on the day that your free trial period ends.  If you are a six-month subscriber, your credit card will be billed every six months based on the day that your free trial period ends. If you are an annual subscriber, your credit card will be billed each year on the same day and month on which your free trial period ended. The billing date is subject to changes related to weekends or statutory holidays. 

Please note that the charges will appear as “OUTtv Cleeng” on your credit card statement. *Note: If you choose to subscribe to OUTtv through the Android, iOS, or Roku app store, or through Apple TV+, Roku Channels, Comcast, Cox, or Amazon Prime Video, subscription payments will be handled by the applicable platform provider and are subject to the terms and conditions established by the applicable platform.

What are the system requirements to watch on my computer?

To stream OUTtv content on your computer you require a web browser and a broadband connection.  OUTtv recommends the Google Chrome web browser, however the service will work with most browsers.  Be sure to keep your browser up to date.

Is OUTtv available on mobile devices?

Yes, OUTtv is available for both iOS and Android devices.  Download the OUTtv app from the app store and then follow the instructions to create an account and purchase your subscription.

If you already have an OUTtv account, simply login with the username and password that you signed up with.

Can I watch OUTtv from multiple devices?

Yes. You can stream on up to 3 devices simultaneously using the same login credentials. Accounts flagged for abuse may have this limited.

How can I update my payment method?

To update or remove your payment method from your account, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://www.outtv.com and login.
  2. Go to My Account.
  3. Scroll down to payment method and follow the instructions to update your information. Or, to remove your payment information click remove. If you are unable to change or remove your payment method please email the Cleeng Support team at [email protected] and they should be able to assist you.
Is my credit card and personal information secure?

Yes.  Your credit card information, personal profile, balance and access information are securely stored on Cleeng servers.

All transactions are completed on Cleeng servers using 256bits SSL encryption and payment processing meets the highest PCI compliance standards.

What can I do if my payment is unsuccessful?

If your payment has been unsuccessful, it may be that your bank or financial institution is refusing the payment, so you may need to contact them for assistance.

Alternatively, please try to use a different payment method.

Why hasn’t my OUTtv membership renewed?

Sometimes you may notice that your OUTtv subscription was not automatically renewed.  When this occurs, you will get an automated email notification.  There are two main reasons for a failed renewal:

  1. Your bank or financial institution rejected the transaction.
    • Solution: Please contact your bank directly to obtain more information.
  1. Your credit card has expired.
    • Solution: Update your credit card details in your account settings.  Simply click on the link included in the notification email or login at https://www.outtv.com with your email and password, click on Settings and update your credit card information.

Please note: If you have not updated your payment information or contacted us to resolve, your subscription will be automatically cancelled.  You will need to subscribe again to regain access to OUTtv content.

How do I cancel my subscription?

OUTtv is prepaid — when you cancel, you retain access until the end of your current billing period. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancel before your renewal date.

Subscribed directly through OUTtv.com?

  1. Log in and go to your Account
  2. Under Subscriptions, click Cancel Subscription
  3. Follow the steps until you see the confirmation page.

Subscribed through the iOS, Android, or Roku app?

Cancel through the respective app store.

Subscribed through Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, or Roku Channel?

Cancel through that platform directly.

There are issues with video quality. What can I do?

Having video quality or playback issues?

Try these steps in order:

  1. Check your internet connection
  2. Update your browser or OUTtv app to the latest version
  3. Clear your browser cache and restart
  4. Try a different browser or device
  5. Make sure you’re not logged in on more than 3 devices simultaneously — log out of others and try again
