Text component

What is a Text component?

The Text component enables you to add and format text content on your screens in Fliplet Studio. You can type directly into the component, apply formatting with an editor bar, and control appearance, layout, and typography from the Appearance panel.

Why use a Text component

• Flexible content – add paragraphs, headings, lists, and links to structure your content clearly
• Consistent styling – define paragraph and heading styles once and reuse them across your screen
• Actionable links – link text to other screens, web pages, documents, videos, or custom actions

How to use the Text component

Editing text content

• Double-click inside the text box to activate editing – an editor bar appears above the screen
• Type or paste your content – click outside the text box to exit editing
• Use the drop-down menus to select Paragraph or Heading 1–6, choose a font family, and set a font size

Formatting toolbar options

• Bold, Italic, Underline
• Text color – the letter A icon with an underline opens a color picker
• Alignment – align left, center, right, or justify
• Lists and indent – bulleted list, numbered list, increase or decrease indent
• Insert link – highlight text, then click the chain icon
• Special characters – insert symbols and special characters
• Remove formatting – clear styles from the selected text

Link options

When you click Insert link after highlighting text, you can:

• Link to another screen
• Open a web page
• Open a document or video
• Trigger a custom action
