Troubleshooting video playback issues in courses

If a video is freezing, looping, or starting and stopping, it’s usually caused by a slow or unstable internet connection. The video is trying to load, but it isn’t able to buffer enough content to play smoothly.

Before you start

Make sure you are using the most up‑to‑date version of your web browser. An outdated browser can cause performance issues during video playback.

Tips to improve video playback

If you experience video issues, try the following:

  • Pause the video once and wait
Select Pause a single time and allow the video to buffer. Repeatedly stopping and starting the video or clicking around can slow loading and may cause the video to restart from the beginning.
You can watch the play bar to see how much of the video has loaded. Allowing more of the video to buffer usually results in smoother playback.

  • Refresh or go back if the video doesn’t advance
If a video appears to loop or the Next arrow doesn’t activate, try selecting Back or refreshing the page to trigger the next step.

When to contact support

If video issues continue after trying these steps, use the Help option in Foundry to contact Technical Support and include your session details.
