First aniversary of 27-F Chilean 8.8 earthquake

Today marks the first anniversary of the 8.8 mega earthquake and tsunami in Chile. People are, to say the least, very uneasy, and very afraid.
because today there was an aftershock of 5.8 to 6.0 in Richter scale at 10:29:25 PM at epicenter

Distances 37 km (23 miles) S of Concepcion, Bio-Bio, Chile
69 km (43 miles) NE of Lebu, Bio-Bio, Chile
76 km (47 miles) WNW of Los Angeles, Bio-Bio, Chile
469 km (291 miles) SSW of SANTIAGO, Region Metropolitana, Chile

we know little of this one, apparently only damage and problems with the basic services (light, phone)

but this happened today!
A big Hug for all the people in the south of Chile!

life was difficult this year a big (VERY BIG) quantity of the people have no homes yet, only provisional accommodations.
The tourism who is the first income of the zone who was devastated was deserted this summer!

the people remember their dead ones with candles who are offered to the sea and prayers.

We must remember too the people out there who is suffering because this nature disasters, like now in New Zeland where there are 200 dead now!

Take a moment to remember the people who died this day a year past and pray for them and their families who still had not a place top call home!

We never thought we would get this amazing response of you, so we are stunned for the huge number of offerings. We are so proud of your generosity! Thank you for caring for Chile! Thank you for stand up and do something!

Also, we are very happy because we made it to lj_spotlight! That’s right. It mentions help_chile in the news. Thank you for joining and telling about this cause to your friends!

Well about the auction itself, you should know that we are not accepting more offerings in this round. Our Awesome and generous Offerors: Writers, artist, graffic artist, fanvidders and fanmixers don't offer more that than they offer already for this first round. If you want to participate as an Offeror you can sing up in the Convocation Entry and join to the comm., so you stay tuned for the auction and because when this round is over, we are going to ask you what you want to do next. Do you want a Lighting Round next month? Or do you prefer a Second Round of the auction later this month? Or just do nothing else? Proceso de Finalización de la Subasta

Este post contiene información acerca del proceso de finalización de la subasta, confirmaciones del mejor postor, el proceso de donación, la confirmación de la donación y los pensamientos que quieran compartir de las maravillosas ofertas propuestas en help_chile.

Por favor, lean todo este post antes de preguntar. Si tienen cualquier pregunta relacionada con cualquiera de los temas en este post, háganlas en los comentarios de esta entrada. En el caso que sean preguntas referentes a organizaciones de ayuda, vayan al post de F.A.Q generales para preguntar.

¿Cuál es la versión rápida y simple del proceso de finalización/notificación/donación/confirmación/entrega de la oferta ganada?

La subasta completa termina el Miércoles 10 de 2010 a las 16:00 hrs. (GMT). Alrededor de una media hora después, las mods de la comunidad informarán a los ofertantes que pueden notificar a los mejores postores por media de una respuesta en el comentario ganador. En la tarde del día siguiente Jueves 11, las mods de la comunidad también notificarán de la misma forma a los ganadores. Se darán cuenta que somos oficiales por nuestros brillantes icons de “You’ve won!” que usaremos.

Una vez que han sido notificados como ganadores, pueden donar a cualquiera de las entidades listadas aquí o en nuestra página UNICEF.

No importa si es vía Internet o una donación en persona en el banco, las mods de la comunidad sabrán si han donado. Luego, las mods de la comunidad le informarán a los ofertantes que sus mejores postores han donado.

Una vez que hayas hecho tu donación, tienes que confirmarlo directamente con las mods de la comunidad vía correo electrónico y así el proceso de terminar la oferta da comienzo. Los ofertantes serán informados sobre su donación, y así pueden crear/enviar/trabajar en sus ofertas. Recuerden que ustedes tienen sus emails y las mods de la comunidad le daremos el de los mejores postores a su respectivo ofertante para que estén en contacto.

Vale, vale. Ahora más detalles, por favor.

¿Cuándo el reloj ya marqué la hora establecida, qué ocurrirá?

Todos los comentarios/respuestas en esta comunidad serán screened por aproximadamente treinta minutos. Esto significa que cualquier oferta (o puja) hecha después de la hora establecida no serán visibles, por lo tanto, no cuentan.

Después de treinta minutos (puede que sea más de una hora, depende de la velocidad de trabajo de las moderadoras), cambiaremos las opciones para que solo los comentarios de los comentarios como respuesta de los ofertantes sean visibles.

¿Por qué?

Porque así cerramos rápidamente las ofertas. Aún así, los ofertantes seguirán recibiendo las respuestas. Así que, ofertantes, eliminen estas respuestas de sus notificaciones.

Nota: Podemos identificar si las ofertas han sido editadas; abajo en los comentarios aparece la hora que se modificó el comentario.

¿Cómo harán saber a los mejores postores que ganaron?

Hay métodos que vamos a usar: ambos los ofertantes y las moderadores les harán saber que ganaron como mejores postores.

Luego que las mods de la comunidad contacten a los ofertantes informándoles que ustedes ganaron las ofertas, ¡los ofertantes van a responderles en el comentario ganador informándoles que han ganado!

¡Felicidades! Bien, puedes donar ahora mismo o simplemente esperar a la confirmación de las moderadoras. Ellas van a dejar una respuesta en los comentarios ganadores al día siguiente que los hagan los ofertantes. Es más oficial, por decirlo así; ya que tendremos icons de “You’ve won!”.

¡Gané! ¿Y cómo dono?

Puedes donar vía Internet o en persona (ejemplo: banco). Todos los links e información para donaciones en sus países, aquí.

¿Cuándo debo donar?
La fecha límite es el Miércoles 15 de 2010, cerca de la 18:00 PM (GTM). Por supuesto, mientras más pronto dones, mejor, ya que el ofertante no se supone que empiece a trabajar en su obra hasta que la confirmación de tu donación esté hecha.

OMG! ¿Y si doné antes que la subasta se cerrará oficialmente? ¿Cuenta?
Si no has usado el recibo de la donación para algo más, entonces cuenta mientras hayas donado después de la fecha de inicio de la subasta: Miércoles 3 de 2010.

*squee* ¡He ganado muchas ofertas! ¿Tengo que donar por separado?
No, puedes hacer una donación que cobra todas las que quieras. Solo tienes que enviar un email a help_chile@hotmail.com con todos los detalles (de qué ofertantes has Ganado como mejor postor, cuál es la cantidad de dinero en cada oferta; luego las moderadoras veremos si los números calzan con el comprobante de tu depósito y voilá, está listo).

¡He donado! ¿Cómo lo confirmo?

Cuando hayas donado, tienes que obtener sí o sí un comprobante. Si lo haces vía Internet, será un email; puedes presionar el botón “Imp Pan” de tu teclado (copiar pantalla) en la confirmación inmediata después de tu donación en el sitio web o en el email que te enviarán (llévalo a Paint, pon CTRL + V o Pegar y guardas la imagen).

Si has donado en persona, te dan un recibo escrito; entonces escribe en el recibo tu nombre de usuario de LJ y/o tu dirección de correo, y fotografíalo o escanéalo.

Envíannos las fotos y/o imágenes de sus confirmaciones a help_chile@hotmail.com con el asunto de CONFIRMACIÓN DE DONACIÓN.

En su confirmación, por favor incluyan la dirección URL de su mejor oferta (la dirección de su comentario ganador) y cuál fue la cantidad de la oferta ganadora.

Estamos esperando un enorme flujo de confirmaciones en los últimos días de la subasta, por lo que no se sorprendan si las moderadoras de help_chile no contestan a sus e-mails con confirmaciones de donación en un día o dos. Si para entonces aún no hemos respondido, envíenlo nuevamente y antepongan un “REENVÍO” en el asunto del correo.

Estoy preocupada acerca de la confidencialidad de mi información personal. ¿Puedo editar aquellos datos en mi recibo?

Definitivamente sí.

Si es un comprobante electrónico, después de pegarlo en Paint con el botón “Imp Pan”, edítalo. Si es un recibo escrito, luego que lo hayas fotografiado o escaneado, edítalo.

¿Cómo? Usa Paint u otro software del tipo para dibujar una línea negra sobre la información personal que quieres proteger. Solo tacha encima.

Las moderadoras necesitamos ver el nombre de la entidad a la que has donado y su dirección, la fecha/hora de la donación, la cantidad de dinero donada, un número de confirmación y también: a) la primera letra de tu nombre y apellido o b) tu primer nombre completo. Auction Closing Procedure

This post contains information about auction closing procedures, confirmations of winning bids, the donation process, donation confirmation and thoughts on sharing the wonderful works created as part of help_chile.

Please read the entire post before asking questions. If you have any questions about any of the topics in this post, other than questions concerning the charities selected, feel free to ask them in a comment to this post; if you have questions about the charities, please read the post here and ask your question there.

What's the quick and dirty version of the closing/notification/donation/confirmation/creation process?

The auction will close at 16:00 PM Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) on Wednesday 10th, 2010. About half an hour later, the comm. mods will inform to the Offerors can start notifying the winning bidder in a reply to your winning bid. In the afternoon of XX (GMT) comm. mods will also start notifying winning bidders - you can tell we're official by the shiny "You've won!" icons we will have!

Once you've been notified that you won, you can donate to any of the charities listed in this post or in our UNICEF site.

It doesn’t matter if the donations are via Internet or made in person, because the comm. mods will know if you have donated. Then, the comm. mods will notify to each Offeror that their winning bids have donate.

Once you've made your donation, the process of fulfilling your bid can begin. The Offerors will be informed so they can create/send/work on your winning item. Remember that you have their emails and the comm. mods will give them yours. That way you can keep in contact.

Okay, okay. Now, more details, please?

When the clock strikes noon, what will happen?

All comments/replies in this comm. will be screened for approximately thirty minutes; this means that any bids placed after noon will not be visible, and will never be unscreened as they will not count.

After thirty minutes (although it may be as much as an hour), we will switch the settings so only comments on the Offering posts are screened.

Why?

This gives us a chance to shut down bidding rapidly. But because of the quirks of LJ, comments will be sent out even though they are screened; therefore, if you are an Offeror and get notification of a "bid" on your item that was made after noon, please disregard it.

Note: We can tell whether bids have been edited; we will look to the time at which the post was edited to determine the time of bid.

How are you going to let winners know they've won?

There are two methods that we are going to use: Both the Offeror can let the Winning Bidder know as explained below, and the Comm Mods will let the Winning Bidder know.

After the comm. mods contact the Offerors informing them who have won their offerings, the Offeror is going to reply to the winning bid notifying he/she have won!

Congratulations! Now, you can donate right now or just wait for the confirmation of the comm. mods. They are going to reply to the winning bids the next day after the Offerors do. It is like more official, if you want to call it that way. Because the mods will use an “You’ve won!” icons.

I won! How do I donate?

You can donate via Internet or in person (i.e.: bank account). Here are all the ways you can donate from your country or you can donate in our UNICEF site.

When do I have to donate by?
Deadline is on Monday 15th, 2010, around 18:00 PM (GMT). Of course, the sooner you donate, the better, as the Offeror isn't supposed to start work on it or ship it until the donation confirmation is in.

OMG! I donated before bidding closed! Does it count?
If you didn't use that donation receipt as confirmation for something else, it will count as long as you donated after Wednesday 3rd, 2010.

Squee! I won multiple things! Do I have to donate for each separately?
No, you can do one donation to cover everything if you want to - you don't have to! You just have to send an email to help_chile[at]hotmail[dot]com with all the details (whose offering you won and the donation for each separately, then the comm. mods calculate if the numbers match and it’s done!)

I've donated! How do I confirm that I've donated?

When you donate you must get a receipt. If you donate electronically, it should be emailed to you; you can screencap the on-screen confirmation or the one that is emailed to you. If you donate in person, get a written receipt; if you have a written receipt please write your LJ username and/or email address on it, then scan or photograph it. If you donated via text messaging, confirmation should be in your online phone management system; please screencap the confirmation.

You can confirm your donation by forwarding the screencap, scan or photo to help_chile[at]hotmail[dot]com. Subject: CONFIRMATION OF DONATION.

In your confirmation, please include the URL(s) for you winning bid(s) and the amount(s) of the winning bid(s).

We are expecting a big influx of confirmations in the first few days after the Auction closes, so don't be surprised if the help_chile mods don't reply to your confirmation for a day or two. If we haven't replied after three days, please send it again, and put RESEND in the subject.

I'm concerned about personally identifying information! Can I redact anything on my electronic receipt?

Definitely. If it's an electronic receipt, after screencap it, edit it. If it’s an written receipt and you’ve already photographed it or scanned it, edit it.

How? Use Paint or other software of this kind to draw a black line on the personally identifying information. Just strike the information you want to protect from us.

We need to be able to see the name of the entity you donated to and their address, the date/time of donation, the amount donated, a confirmation number and either (a) the first letter of your first and last name, or (b) your entire first name. (Remember to write your LJ username if it’s a written recipe).

WHEW! Lots of information, we know. But everyone has been wonderufully self-organized so far, and we just need to get past these little complexities to end this first round of the help_chile auction successfully.

Edito el mensaje, ya que mi amiga y su familia, así como sus padres, se han comunicado ya con nosotros, y están bien y a salvo, gracias a Dios.
