Evidence for AxI?
Everybody knows that PxS is a canon pairing, but what about the other famous pairing, perhaps the most famous pairing in Hellsing fandom, AxI?
Many (if not most) people will agree with me when I say that Alucard turned Seras into a vampire so that she might take his place at Integra's side after his death. This obvously means that Alucard has been planning to die for quite some time (at least since the beginning of the series). My question is, why does Alucard care what happens to Integra after he dies? Furthermore, why was he willing to damn someone else to the same existence he seeks so desperately to escape?
Some have said that Alucard's love is more possessive than it is affectionate, but Alucard's concern for Integra makes me wonder if, perhaps, he truly does care about her.
Honestly, I don't think that AxI will ever be made canon like PxS was (through a kiss or some other such visible display of affection), but I do feel that there's enough evidence to say that AxI have an indescribably complex relationship that may involve romantic feelings as well as unresolved sexual tension.
