This is my second mixtape featuring probably my favorite ship of all time: Ron and Hermione! :) Anyway, this mix doesn't surround any particular book out of the series, but instead, it is a mix that describes their general relationship: the ups, the downs, and especially the moments where they keep their feelings towards one another a secret.

I'm a huge fan of Damien Rice's music, so I thought this song fit the Ron and Hermione pairing so well. Anyway, I think this song perfectly describes how much they secretly like each other and if they ever parted ways, love/friendship-wise, they'd be lost and empty without each other.

002. STAY AWAY BY ROONEY - RON'S POINT OF VIEW [.WMA FORMAT]
Make a move on me baby / I cant be the one who's / Always taking chances / See me down / So you get down / No you've got me all wrong / I just want to kiss your lips / And you kiss back / She doesn't know / That I love her / Yes I love her
This is a pretty old song, but it always reminded me of "Ron VS Viktor" and "Ron VS Every one of Hermione's potential love interests". LOL And plus, "She doesn't know / That I love her / Yes I love her" is just perfect, isn't it?

003. CITADEL BY ANNA NALICK - HERMIONE'S POINT OF VIEW [.M4A FORMAT]
Holdin' on to something / That's keepin' me from jumpin' / So afraid to go in alone / Holding up this fortress / With imaginary forces / Longing for a life down below / What if I fall / What if I don't / What if I never make it home / What if I bleed / What if I break / And I find that I can't take / The city below the citadel
Well, I don't know how much this song symbolizes their relationship. To me, it describes Hermione in the sixth book and how she reacts to Ron's relationship with Lavender Brown.

004. ALL WE ARE by ONEREPUBLIC - RON/HERMIONE [.M4A FORMAT]
You're an island and my ship is running ground / I could tear you apart, but it won't break anything that we are, we are / We’ll say our goodbyes you know it’s better that way / We won't break, we won't die / It's just a moment of change / All we are, all we are, is everything that's right / All we need all we need, our love is at a bind
I think this song is pretty self-explanatory itself, right? For instance, no matter the circumstances (good or bad) they're in this together for the long haul, because well, Ron and Hermione: It just makes sense!

005. GETTING INTO YOU by RELIENT K - RON'S POINT OF VIEW [.WMA FORMAT]
Do you know what you are getting yourself into / I'm getting into you / Because you got to me, in a way words can't describe / I'm getting into you / Because I've got to be / You're essential to survive / I'm going to love you with my life
Yes, I do realize that this song is talking about God, but if you look outside the box, this song could be very sweet in a romantic sort of way.

006. NEAR TO YOU by A FINE FRENZY - HERMIONE'S POINT OF VIEW [.M4A FORMAT]
You and I have something different / And I'm enjoying it cautiously / I'm battle scarred, But I am working oh so hard / To get back to who I used to be / He's disappearing, fading steadily / Well, I'm so close to being yours, Won’t you stay with me, please / Near to you, I am healing
Again, I had to add another song by A Fine Frenzy! To me, this song represents the peculiarity in the R/HR ship: They're complete opposites, yet they complete each other, after all, opposites do attract. **

007. WONDERWALL by RYAN ADAMS - RON/HERMIONE [.MP3 FORMAT]
I don't believe that anybody feels / The way I do about you now / And all the roads we have to walk along are winding / And all the lights that lead us there are blinding / There are many things that I would / Like to say to you / I don't know how / Because maybe you're gonna be the one who saves me? / And after all / You're my wonderwall
This is a cover for the Oasis song, Wonderwall, so it's a lot more mellow and "softer" and it's all acoustic, this one, which is just as lovely as the original! Anyway, I think this song could perfectly describe the notion that in the end, there's only one person for Ron and one person for Hermione: each other.

008. ALREADY IN by JON MCLAUGHLIN - RON'S POINT OF VIEW [.M4A FORMAT]
And everyone back my heart's at war / With all the plans I had before / And I'm losing my grip, but I'd lose it all for you / So I go driving all around / I'm denying all these sounds that hit my ear / Drum the beat of a heart I can't defeat / So it's already in my mind / And I'm in over my head inside / And it's already in my mind, inside
I thought this song was really sweet in terms of how Ron feels about Hermione. In my opinion, it really does give the R/Hr pairing a sweeter perspective. FYI - Jon McLaughlin has been compared to The Fray, so fans of The Fray would probably like this song for the lovely piano sequences and meaningful lyrics!

009. PUSH by SARAH MCLACHLAN - HERMIONE'S POINT OF VIEW [.M4A FORMAT]
Every time I look at you the world just melts away / All my troubles all my fears dissolve in your affections / You've seen me at my weakest but you take me as I am / And when I fall you offer me a softer place to land / You stay the course you hold the line you keep it all together / You're the one true thing I know I can believe in / You're all the things that I desire, you save me, you complete me / You're the one true thing I know I can believe
The words of this song are incredibly sweet and romantic, much like Sarah McLachlan's other songs. But anyway, like track eight in this mix, this is how Hermione feels about Ron.

010. NAKED AS WE CAME by IRON AND WINE - RON/HERMIONE [.M4A FORMAT; read lyrics from columns 1 to 2]
For some reason, aside from the short mention of sleeping children, I can picture this song perfectly for the epilogue written in book seven when Hermione and Ron are finally married! Other than that, this song is very beautiful in my opinion--right down to the lyrics, music, and even the singer's voice!

She says "wake up, it's no use pretending"
I'll keep stealing, breathing her.

** Nothing to do with Harry Potter or Ron/Hermione, but I also imagined, Near To You by A Fine Frenzy to be very Jacob/Bella-esque, however, in terms that are more ... well, for lack of better words, depressing and you can't help sympathizing with Jacob and his unrequited love for Bella.

So this mixtape is of the mushy, soap-box stuff. There's plenty of lovey-dovey goodness to go around! :) Anyway, here's a bit of information before-hand:

Howie Day's Collide pretty much has "Edward and Bella" written all over it. This song sort of describes their relationship: it's so wrong, but at the same time it feels so right. It was inevitable, it was fate which brought them together. In other words, he ignored every thought and couldn't stay away from Bella any longer.

002 YOU PICKED ME by A FINE FRENZY - BELLA TO EDWARD
... The two of us a perfect fit / You’re all mine, all mine / And all I can say / Is you blow me away / Like an apple on a tree / Hiding out behind the leaves / I was difficult to reach / But you picked me / Like a shell upon a beach / Just another pretty piece / I was difficult to see / But you picked me, yeah you picked me ... This is one of my favorites! It's ridiculously sweet and you'll love it! :) I just had to put this song in the mix, if I could, I probably would put it in every future mixtape, no joke. Anywho, back to the point, in regards to this song, it's sort of like Bella is such a tiny creature, she's so delicate and vulnerable compared to Edward, and so the last thing on her mind would be to ever falling in love with him, and vice versa. Plus, you have to admit, the "You're mine, all mine" seemed like something Bella would say. LOL :D

003 DIFFERENT by ACCEPTANCE - EDWARD TO BELLA [.wma; 16 track 16 @ box.net]
Tell myself, on the ride home / Getting tired, hating all I've known / Holding on, like it's all I have ... God I'm wrong, it's just the way I am / Crashing down, any chance you hear / Caving in, any chance that you, could see inside of me ... "Different," by Acceptance, represents all of Edward's internal battles and his frustrations with what he is when he's around Bella: he's not human enough, he's a monster, he's the "bad guy". (Bella, of course, does not see this in him.) Edward literally struggles with himself everytime he's around Bella, yet he's come to realize that he doesn't want to keep avoiding her, so he takes a chance knowing the risks it imposes.

004 SONG FOR A SLEEPING GIRL by DEVICS - EDWARD/BELLA
This is a song / For a silent sleeping girl / She wants nothing / But to wake and find you there / The words you whisper / They fade in morning / And when I look at her / And her sleeping face / Her foot resting in mine / And then I know my place ... LYRICS
Another one of my favorites! And it's even sweeter because a man and a woman sings in this one. I think the lyrics are pretty much self-explanatory though, don't you think?

005 JUST LIKE HEAVEN by KATIE MELUA - BELLA TO EDWARD
... Spinning on that dizzy edge / I kissed his face and kissed his head / And dreamed of all the different ways I had / To make him glow ... You, soft and only / You, lost and lonely / You, strange as angels / Dancing in the deepest oceans / Twisting in the water / You're just like a dream / You're just like a dream ... LYRICS
This is a cover of The Cure's song, Just Like Heaven. I like this version though, as it has a more slow tempo. Just like the lyrics, Bella herself sees Edward as somewhat of a god. Like a character in a fairytale, she even has to make sure he's real sometimes. Plus, hasn't it been noted several times that everytime Bella's around Edward, she's sort of in this dazed state? He's that dreamy! :D

006 AS YOU SLEEP by SOMETHING CORPORATE - EDWARD TO BELLA [.wma]
... I just LOVE this song! And of course, it reminded me of all the times Edward and Bella would fall asleep in each other's arms, well Bella did most of the sleeping, but still, it's a very lovely song, and it's Something Corporate, so you can't go wrong!

007 THE FEAR YOU WON'T FALL by JOSHUA RADIN - EDWARD/BELLA
... It hasn't felt like this before / It hasn't felt like home before you / And I know it's easy to say but it's harder to feel this way / And I miss you more than I should / Than I thought I could / Can't get my mind off of you / I know you're scared that I'll soon be over it / That's part of it all / Part of the beauty of falling in love with you is the fear you won't fall ... LYRICS
Yet another song that is ridiculously sweet, with a pinch of sadness to it. If you like Damien Rice, you'd probably like Joshua Radin. Plus, this song also has a man and a woman singing in it! Anyway, "The Fear You Won't Fall" reminded me of how Edward and Bella feel about each other. They're each others first loves, so every emotion is new to them; and they're always on each others minds. All in all, I think this song perfectly describes how much they long for each other as well as their insecurities (IE: Edward's afraid Bella might run away fom him because of what he is and Bella's always afraid Edward would leave her).

Listening to this song kind of always makes me feel a little sad, even if it expresses "hope". In terms of their relationship, I think it sort of describes how much Bella needs Edward in her life. And that even with all of the obstacles and dangers that surround them, with him by her side, everything will be okay.

009 SPIN by LIFEHOUSE - EDWARD TO BELLA [.wma]

I'm beginning to think I have way too many similar Edward songs in this mix. *shrugs* BUT I decided this had to be added because I love this song so much! :) And besides, doesn't it perfectly represent the bajillion thoughts probably going through Edward's brain when he decides he can't stay away from Bella any longer; even more so when he's with Bella and he feels so at ease and everything just seems worth it?

010 COME AWAY WITH ME by NORAH JONES - EDWARD/BELLA [Read lyrics from column 1 to 2.]
Okay, well, I don't know much much this song represents their relationship according to the events going on in "Twilight", but it's such a beautifully written song and it's so wistful and romantic--and in my opinion, I think their relationship is the essence of just that. Plus, can't you imagine Edward and Bella dancing to this song during their prom? :D ***
