The North-East has been my home for almost 40 years. My husband and I run a small farm, our kids went to school here, and I plan to grow old here.
Through my work as a nurse, midwife and health researcher, I’ve cared for people in our community during some of their most important moments. As your Independent Federal Member of Parliament, I don’t back down, and I don’t settle for less than what we deserve. I’m not beholden to a political party and call out bad decisions, no matter who made them. I fight for you and work to get results for our community, even when the going is tough.

Indi Volunteer Grants Program 2025-26
Volunteer Grants support the work of local community organisations to support the volunteering of people facing barriers to participation and supporting initiatives that increase volunteerism.
Grants of between $1,000 and $5,000 are available to assist eligible not-for-profit community organisations support the efforts of their volunteers.
Eligible organisations must be a not-for-profit with a minimum of 40% volunteers in their workforce.
A track record of getting results
As an Independent I work in partnership with the community, councils, small business and local industry – to figure out what we need and how to make it happen.
Together, we’ve achieved a lot; a record number of mobile phone towers, funding for major projects, recovery from natural disasters, and more housing infrastructure. We’ve pushed to improve integrity, for better support for regional Australia and against funding cuts to essential services.
As an Independent, I vote for Indi, not a party
I always put Indi first. As an Independent, I review each bill on its individual merits in consultation with our communities to make sure the laws that are written in this nation work for us. Every vote is a conscience vote.
My opponents will try to claim otherwise, but let’s be clear: I vote for Indi 100% of the time and work hard to ensure our voices are represented every time I step into the chamber. I will never be beholden to a political party.
