Happening at Heights High

Thomas Named Heights High School Principal

Stephanie Thomas has served Heights High School since 2023 as an assistant principal. Thomas has also been a teacher and an instructional coach in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, where she provided building-level strategic planning and coached teachers on research-based instructional practices.

Graduates Share Experiences as Members of Superintendent's Cadre

Meet Chelsea, E'Niya, and Jayla, three class of 2026 graduates who were part of the Superintendent's Cadre. These Cadre members have been meeting with Liz Kirby monthly and have been instrumental in addressing everything from student mental health to the high school's policies on school safety and building procedures.

Members of Heights High's graduating class of 2026 walked out of the building on the evening of May 5 a little closer to their future dreams, thanks to the $128,300 in gifts they received from the community at the Senior Recognition Awards Program.

Heights High's National Honor Society Inducts 73 New Members

Heights High School's chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS) inducted 73 new members on May 19, 2026. NHS recognizes student achievement and encourages dedication to the four pillars: scholarship, service, character, and leadership.

Heights High Athletes Announce College Intent at Spring Signing Ceremony

Seven Heights High School student-athletes from the Class of 2026 signed their official college letters of intent during a spring signing ceremony that was held on Monday, May 18, 2026 in front of their families, teammates, coaches, and friends. The group included four basketball players, one baseball player, one lacrosse player, and a wrestler.
