Have you learned to befriend yourself?
This is Hecate's Hello. It will share a series of essays. My name and subtitle reference Hecato of Rhodes, who lived around 100 BC and said:
“What progress, you ask, have I made?
I have begun to be a friend to myself.” That was indeed a great benefit; such a person can never be alone.
You may be sure that such a man is a friend to all mankind.
In this time of extremism, I wanted to write about what happens when you stop clinging to “Moral Clarity” and start listening to your inner truth.
Thanks for reading.
