cancer does not discriminate among men, women and children, in an effort to fight cancer locally, the <b>HEARTS Cancer Relief Services (CRS)<\/b> program was established in April 2013 to provide local area assistance to individuals currently undergoing treatment for cancer.\u00a0 HEARTS CRS program serves a six county regions: Cleburne, Calhoun, Randolph in Alabama and Carroll, Haralson, and Heard in Georgia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-33 elementor-top-column elementor-element data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><b>The 1st Annual Day of Hope <\/b>was held in April 2013 raising $13,000 helping to establish our ministry outreach.\u00a0 The Day of Hope\u00a0 fundraiser is a family oriented event focused on togetherness by fighting the disease as one supportive community.\u00a0<\/p><p>This event has grown tremendously every year with last year\u2019s efforts netting over $25,000. Grants from the <b>Community Foundation of West Georgia<\/b> and the <b>Community Foundation of Northeast Alabama\u00a0 <\/b>combined with donations from local community partners make it all possible.\u00a0 People who have been diagnosed with cancer are more vulnerable than ever right now. They need support, people to talk with, resources to turn to, and reassurance that someone is looking out for them.\u00a0 HEARTS CRS program becomes their support system.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-b596fcd elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"b596fcd\" data-element_type=\"section\" href=\"#online-application\"><b>HEARTS application<\/b><\/a>, provide proof of identity, and obtain a written diagnosis and treatment plan from the physician\/treatment center\/Hospice organization.\u00a0 Income varies among participants, and many of our clients are middle to low income, lack adequate insurance, or have little family support to care for the patient\u2019s needs.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-inner-section elementor-element elementor-element-28fdf0e elementor-section-content-middle Proceeds from <i>HEARTS Annual Day of Hope<\/i> fundraiser allows HEARTS to administer funds locally to help area clients with basic life necessities (food, clothing, shelter), emergency financial assistance for utilities, transportation vouchers during active treatment, Ensure or Boost nutritional supplement shakes, and incontinence products<br \/>(incontinence underwear and adult diapers). HEARTS of Cleburne\u2019s funding does not approve medications or medical supplies.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column
