Home page refresh for faster navigation and clearer priorities

Improvement

We’ve updated the Home page with a cleaner layout and improved quick actions to help teams get started faster.

What’s new:

  • A redesigned Home header with a prominent archive search field and streamlined action buttons.

  • Archive search now supports quick handoff from Home — press Enter in the search field to jump directly into Archive results.

Widget improvements

Role-based Home widgets now show the most relevant information by user role:

  • Members: Upcoming reminders, Expiring documents, Documents out for signing
  • Managers/Admins: Upcoming reminders, Documents out for signing, Pending approvals
  • Viewers: Upcoming reminders, Expiring documents

Archiving Workflows

New Feature

We’ve introduced a new workflow type in Precisely: Archiving.

This is designed for a very common, but previously slightly awkward use case — getting already signed contracts into your repository, fast.

Dialog.webp

What’s new?

With Archiving workflows, you can now:

  • Upload fully executed contracts directly

  • Skip drafting, approvals, and signing flows entirely

  • Instantly register contracts in your archive

No extra steps, no workarounds.

How it works

When you create a project using an Archiving workflow:

  • The project is marked as complete immediately after upload

  • The contract is stored and structured in your archive

  • No approval or signing steps are triggered

If your organization has metadata validation enabled, you’ll still be prompted to complete required data before finalizing — ensuring your archive stays clean and searchable.

Why this matters

Not every contract starts in Precisely.

Archiving workflows make it easy to:

  • Centralize legacy or externally signed agreements

  • Keep your contract repository complete

  • Maintain structure and control without unnecessary friction

Improved Drafting Flow

Improvement

We’ve made several improvements to the drafting experience in Precisely to simplify the interface, reduce clutter, and create more space for what matters most: completing the questionnaire and generating your document.

Here’s what’s new:

  • Simplified project naming The separate project naming field has been removed. The recommended approach is now to define the project title through the questionnaire by adding a reference question in the template and using that value in the project title. This creates more consistent and automated naming across projects.

  • New consolidated Actions menu Actions that were previously spread across the interface are now grouped under a single Actions button in the top bar. This keeps the workspace cleaner while still giving quick access to everything you need.

  • Cleaner top bar The header has been reduced to a single bar, freeing up valuable vertical space so you can focus more on the drafting content itself.

  • Progress bar moved to the sidebar The progress indicator is now located above the sections in the sidebar, making it easier to track completion while navigating through the questionnaire.

  • Assigned questions visibility improved The Assign questions section is now hidden until at least one question has been assigned. This removes unnecessary UI elements when the feature isn’t in use.

  • Archiving moved to the end of the questionnaire Archiving settings now appear at the end of the questionnaire and are only visible if the template allows users to modify archiving settings. This keeps the drafting flow focused and only shows controls when they are relevant.

These updates are part of our ongoing effort to make drafting in Precisely faster, clearer, and more intuitive.

Natural language Archive filters (AI-powered)

New Feature

You can now find contracts faster by asking questions in plain language. Instead of manually building metadata filters, just type your question in the Archive — Precisely will generate structured metadata filters for you.

The generated filters are shown for review and can be modified before applying, giving you full control over the results.

This feature works only on structured metadata and does not perform full-text search inside documents or titles.

Security first:

No contract content, metadata values, titles, or parties are ever sent to any external AI model. AI is used only to translate your question into structured filter logic. All filtering happens within your own environment.

This is available to organizations with AI features enabled in Organization Settings.

Improved Review Controls + Word Redlining Support

Improvement

We’ve made the review process more flexible and powerful.

You can now:

  • Attach a DOCX version of the document when inviting reviewers

  • Set more granular review permissions when adding a reviewer

Attaching a DOCX

If you choose to attach a DOCX file, the reviewer will receive a Word version with Track Changes automatically enabled, so they can start redlining immediately. Once they’re done, they simply upload the redlined version back to the review portal.

Reviewer permissions

When inviting a reviewer, you can now decide whether they can:

  • View only

  • View and redline directly in Precisely

  • Download to Word, redline offline, and upload a new version

  • Redline both in Precisely and/or in Word

These options are controlled with simple checkboxes when adding a reviewer, giving you full control over how collaboration should happen.

More flexibility. Same structured governance.

Restrict document deletion for members

New Feature

We’ve added a new organization setting for deleting permissions.

You can now choose whether members are allowed to delete documents they own or have access to through a read and write team.

If the setting is turned off, members will no longer be able to delete any individual documents, helping reduce the risk of accidental removals.

New status filter for ongoing projects on Draft & Sign page

New Feature

We now have a status filter on the Draft & Sign page that lists active, ongoing projects. This filter is selected by default when loading the Draft & Sign page.

Ongoing projects are those which are in draft, initial approval, review, final approval, or signing status.

Projects with Complete status are excluded from the ongoing projects list and can be viewed by selecting the Complete filter.

New System References: Initial Approval and Final Approval Completion Dates

Improvement

We have implemented two new system references:

  • Initial approval completion date
  • Final approval completion date

These system references can be used to populate reminder dates on workflow template documents.

  • Allow members to upload documents after drafting

When this setting is enabled, Member users are able to import documents to projects that have already been drafted.

We have also renamed the 'Allow uploads of documents' permission setting to:

  • Allow uploads of documents during drafting

When the Allow uploads of documents during drafting setting is enabled, all users can upload files when drafting a project:
