Resource Calendar Support Now Live in Movebot

Improvement

Starting today, Movebot supports migrating Google Workspace Resource Calendars—making calendar migrations more complete and less manual.

You can now map resource calendars (like meeting rooms and shared spaces) directly by email address using the resource: prefix when migrating into Google Workspace. Once enabled, resource calendars behave just like user calendars inside Movebot—no messy workarounds or post-migration patching. This feature does require an updated Google Workspace connection with a new permission scope, but once that’s set, resource calendars can be fully migrated like any other account.

A cleaner, smarter way to handle calendar migrations. Resource calendars are now first-class citizens in Movebot.

Update: Calendar & Permission Mapping Configuration

New

We’ve moved the configuration for permission and calendar attendee mappings to a new section under Project Configuration for easier access and management.

This update also includes CSV import support, a highly requested feature—especially for handling complex calendar migrations.

Update: Change to Mailbox Discovery Scans

Improvement

As of today, we’ve removed support for full-organisation Discovery Scans on Mailbox projects. While Discovery Scans are useful for understanding complex or unknown data structures, they are not practical for mailbox migrations due to rate limiting by source platforms.

If you still require visibility before migrating, we recommend mapping your transfers first, then running scans on individual mailboxes as needed.
