Hazel Allen is an autistic and non-binary writer from the PNW, who writes poetry and short stories. They’re the author of Inside the Sun and Moon, and currently runs The BookStack Catalog-- a publication and directory committed to helping readers discover new indie reads.

When they’re not writing or working on BookStack, you can usually find them reading books, playing Pokémon, or hanging out with their cat, Apollo.

What can you expect from this blog?

This publication is where I share my poetry and short stories, as well as occasional essays. My schedule is pretty sporadic, as I’m pretty busy with my other blog, school, and work. So really, there’s no set schedule for new posts— just whenever I get around to them.

While everything I post here is free-to-read for the most part, old posts do get archived after being up for three weeks. If you’d like to be able to revisit those ones, consider upgrading your subscription. We operate on a “give what you can style,” so there’s less stress on your wallet.

Also, as thanks for upgrading your subscription here, you’ll get your BookStack subscription upgraded too at no extra cost! Only catch is you have to actually be subscribed (free) over there already. If not, or if you choose to opt out, you won’t get the free upgrade. And as long as you’re supporting us here, you’ll remain upgraded there, until you decide to cancel your sub!

Want to support my writing? Give what you can: $5/Month❤️, $4/Month🧡, $3/Month💛, $2/Month💚, $1/Month💙, or tip us on Ko-fi💖

Hazel Allen Writes is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or paid subscriber.
