64 long days until check in. My name is Kiry and I was accepted for the Spring Advantage 2011 term. I am beyond excited. My role will be quick service food/beverage. I’m really nervous of my job and location. But nervous excited.

I guess I should start from the beginning. Last Spring I saw that 2 of my friends did the college program. I saw their photos on Facebook and thought how amazing it looked. I saw flyers for the presentation. I couldn’t attend but I viewed the E-presentation. Unfortunately I didn’t make it past the web interview. My guess was because I didn’t have any work experience. In August I got my first job as a busser in a trendy Thai/Japanese restaurant called Stir Moon. I currently work there. I then attended the actual interview this semester for the spring term. I passed the web interview and did the phone interview. I was deathly nervous, but I did it. Literally a week later, I got an email saying I was accepted. That day I was smiling from ear to ear.

Now I, along with 1000+ people accepted, are playing the waiting game. I chose the January 19th check in day. My family & I are going to drive up from Miami on the 18th and sleep over my cousin’s house. Then the next day I will check in and be a WDW cast member.

Hello all, if anyone still reads this. But I recently got accepted into the Disney College Program for the Spring 2011 term. So come January I will be moving to and working at Walt Disney World in Orlando FL. I started a new blog for my journey to and through the program but I will most likely cross post it here for you all to read. =]
