March 24 & 25, 2026 in Bochum, Germany

Welcome to the fourth “Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop” (HARRIS 2026) in Bochum, Germany.

This in-person workshop strives to bring together the international hardware reverse engineering community, be it partners from industry, academia, or government. It aims to facilitate an open exchange within the community, spark future collaborations to advance the state of the art in hardware reverse engineering research, and together overcome existing limitations.

Thanks to our speakers and sponsors, we can proudly offer a unique and exciting program comprising research talks, brainstorming sessions, and plenty of networking opportunities. If your work is related to hardware reverse engineering, come join us in Bochum and become part of the community!

The 4th Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop took place on March 24 & 25, 2026 in Bochum, Germany. For the first time, we also hosted optional half-day tutorials on the afternoon of March 23, 2026 (separate registration and fee required).

What's next?

HARRIS 2027 will take place in Singapore

We are excited to announce that the 2027 HARRIS Hardware Reverse Engineering Workshop will be held in Singapore from March 1 to March 3, 2027. This marks a special milestone for HARRIS: after four editions in Bochum, the workshop not only moves to a new location for the first time, but travels all the way to Asia. The event will be organized by Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and the National Integrated Centre for Evaluation (NiCE).

And since we are already talking about the future: we are equally happy to announce that HARRIS will return to Europe in 2028, with HARRIS 2028 to be held at Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) in the Netherlands.

A call for abstracts and a call for tutorials are expected to follow later this year, so there will soon be concrete ways to take part. Sign up for our newsletter and stay tuned!
