Excellent program. It's a little bit like Finale with note entry, although you have to tell it which voice you are entering by clicking on the tick box before you can enter notes correctly. You also have to make sure you tick the right voice before you try to rub out the notes using the eraser.
This is the best program I have used for harmony work and I am a music student. I've looked at paid programs and this one has been a breeze to pick up and use. It lists all possible errors, this does not always mean they are errors and you have to read the notes given with the error or do your own research as to decide whether you permit it or not. It pretty much covers everything I need for grade 6-8 theory if not more.
Pros:
You can add Roman numeral analysis using the select tool and the VII tool.
It can analyze the chords for you.
You can hear playback
It occasionally makes suggestions on alternatives when an error has occurred
It is free
There is a help file
You can choose 4 part harmony/close and three part - so it is fine for keyboard analysis too.
The only cons I would say are:
You need to lock your own roman analysis so the program does not reanalyze and write over your chords
You cannot customize which errors it sees
You need to run as admin
The note names are in French (but these can be changed)
Some extended help menus take you to a french website (again this can be translated using google, its a minor inconvenience)
When I download your program it can not run set up, it says inadequate system...
My system has Windows xp service pack 2 or 3 (it's a school lab) and I have already downloaded and installed Microsoft net framework 2 and 4.5

For a free program I couldn't recommend it more.

Can you help me?
Thank you very much.
