I am sure you will be glad to know that I was not, after all, forced to resort to drastic measures or stupidity.

However, I'm afraid I may have become slightly over-excited when one of the little wretches nibbled on my foot, and subsequently may have lost my temper~.

And I'm sure some of us are well aware of what follows.

If anyone would be willing to scrape flattened vermin off my ceiling, a helping hand would be greatly appreciated.

As soon as I ascertain the best way to get down from here - and hopefully not by plummeting - I will be by with a spatula ♥.

My floor is presently carpeted in an undulating grey mass of malodorous vermin - a scuffling, squeaking ocean of writhing tails and pestilence. One was even so kind as to wake me by poking its horrid damp nose in my ear.

Of all the wretched plagues that could have been unleashed, it had to be rats, didn't it?

A shame that the pot-pourri was mouldy. Even the cloying fragrance of desiccated flora would be preferrable to this reek of death and decay.
