Lower Transaction Fees for project invoices

Currently Handoff charges 3.6% for credit card fees. We plan to switch payment processors to provide reduced payment fees in the range of 2.9%-3.15% for credit cards, depending on the contractor’s subscription tier with Handoff. This makes it easier for everyone to use online payments for Handoff’s project invoices.

Renderings: Let AI create a rendering based on my description

Sometimes, a client needs a visual to picture what the final project will look like. That rendering can help me win the deal. If AI could make a rendering of the room, the deck, the new ADU, etc at the early stage of this estimate, it would make me look more professional and help me close jobs.

Invoicing - Provide options for faster payouts

When my clients pay with Handoff invoices, Handoff pays me out once every 2 business days. Sometimes, I just need the money faster. Usually the deposit invoice is my money to go buy materials. Sometimes this needs to happen same day, next day, or over the weekend. If I get the invoice paid Friday but have to wait until Tuesday, that's can delay my projects. Please give me a faster option. Can I get Next Day? Can I get same day or instant?

Create change order

Projects change often, even after the initial proposal is signed. Let me create Change Orders with Handoff. Change Orders are like amendments to the original proposal/agreement. They function like their own mini-estimate: they have line items, qty rates and item totals, markup, etc. They should be quick to generate. Often they'll be short, like 5 lines or less. We need these change orders signed, and invoiceable.

Files and Photos Organization

When uploading photos or files into the project, there is no way to strategically organize the photos and files.I want to be able to group them until sub folders, rename, and filter by uploaded date as well as edit the photo or file inside of Handoff. I also want to be able to easily view files like plans or photos I uploaded when I am in the middle of working on an estimate. Currently I have to open another tab/window and jump between the two or split my screen (which makes it small to view without zooming) to view the estimate the Ai created and the files I uploaded side by side

Internal Approval Process

At my company I have a sales team and I personally need to review and approve any quotes before they go out to customers. In Handoff we do not have a streamline way to accomplish this. I am having to rely on microsoft teams to communicate with my sales team about an estimate that are approved or rejected internally. If I don’t approve, I send them notes in teams about what needs to change, the sales rep will make changes and I will re-review for approval. Were having to make a duplicate of the estimate to keep the original version and compare the new version.

Phase-completion triggered billing in payment schedules

I like to bill periodically after certain construction phases are complete. The current payment schedule only supports due dates of On Approval, On Completion, or Specific Date — but there is no option to tie a payment milestone to the completion of a specific construction phase. Ideal workflow: define payment schedule entries linked to construction phases (e.g., Foundation, Framing, Drywall), and when that phase is marked complete, the corresponding invoice becomes due automatically. This is a common billing pattern for general contractors who do progress billing based on phase completion rather than fixed dates.

Let me adjust the AI chat window width, or create Full Screen mode

It would be really nice if I could adjust the window width (i.e. the vertical divider between the chat window pane and the right ‘main’ pane). I often have to use the [annoying] horizontal scroll bar to view the rest of the tables that AI creates. This is painful and severely impacts my ability to stay productive (running counter to Handoff’s core mission). It’s probably a bad UX practice, too. Please update the UX to allow the user to adjust the vertical width. As a fallback or interim solution, I’d settle with enabling a Full Screen mode in the AI chat window.

Interactive/dynamic tables in documents

When using tables inside an AI generated document, would like the table to be dynamic like excel or general spreadsheets with formulas meaning if a value is updated in the table, any related or corresponding cells/totals should auto update like when working in the estimate. Today the tables in the docs are free form text which could result in a mistake.

Home Depot Account Linking

I need my home depot account to link with handoff so that way all of our material purchases can be categorized and accounted for each job. Keeping track of realtime costing for each job and then get notified when your about to go over your budget. Handoff should be able to be the executive assistant that everyone needs for their business. There isnt anything like it yet and once handoff can fully integrate into admin, financials, and field, it will dominate every other crm that exists.
