HaloteaFree was designed to help you relax and experience inner peace through the combination of several soothing sounds.

The program includes nearly 30 predefined themes, which are different combinations of sounds. Besides, this utility includes a full-featured audio player. It is capable of creating, saving, and editing playlists.

You can play back the theme of your choice simply by clicking on its name. Some of the themes included are "Brain refresh", "Jungle", "Rain in forest", and "Wake up". When a theme starts playing, you can see the list of its sounds in a special panel. You can pause the audio, and adjust the volume and the balance of each of those sounds to achieve that combination you are more comfortable with. Some of the sounds used to compose the themes are "Crickets", "Water stream", "Camp fire", "Heart echo", "Woods", and "Birds". Many of them simulate natural sounds, while others are totally artificial.

As for the audio player, it mostly behaves like any comprehensive audio playing tool but with the addition of some extra features. For example, you can set it to shuffle or repeat the songs on your playlist and it lets you adjust the echo and reverberation levels. Besides, it includes a ten-control equalizer you can tweak easily. The program allows you to play simultaneously both the songs on your playlist and the selected theme. Besides, HaloteaFree is capable of turning transparent, and so it offers you an adjustable opacity level. You can also activate its built-in timer and select an action to be executed when it goes off – you can use this feature to close the program or shut down your PC automatically, for example.

Finally, I must mention that there are three editions available for this program – standard, “lite”, and free. Of course, this free version is the one that offers the smallest set of features. For example, you cannot edit the predefined themes, import/export them or record sounds, features that are available in the standard and/or “lite” editions.
