Ignore me... up on a cloud again...
Went to church today. Yes, I'm one of those people who some times goes to church. At times merely to please his family, at other times for his own good. Aside from the religious aspect I find it comforting slash amusing slash admirable. But let's not turn it into a flame-war or anything.
As with many people religion plays a part in my life. Maybe not an active one, but I have to acknowledge that it shaped a great deal of whom I am now. And for that I respect it.
Got myself a haircut today, and it was about time. It was quite busy again at the barbershop, understandable with the holidays and such just around the corner. Afterwards I quickly hopped onto the bus and retrieved my OV-card for next year from the post office.
For now I've got some instructions to type up for the New Year's Eve-thingy and some gifts to wrap.
The thing is, normally I'd have a card, a tune or something else around this time of year. But strangely enough... I don't. Not this time. It somewhat bugs me, though I know it ain't that big of a deal as most of you by know should know I deeply care about you all. Still... maybe something will turn up around the end of this year. o_o'
Further more on the list: to write up a reflection on the past year. Preferably one about all my friends, or at least those here on my LJ-friends list. So be warned! ^_~
Church and all gave me time to think about... things. I just came to realize that... even though for the past few weeks nothing exactly went as "planned", everything is... well, good. In fact, for once, things are looking up. Better, if not extraordinary great compared to the end of last year. Words fail to describe it properly, though the following analogy should suffice:
a seed has been planted, with time and loving care let us hope it'll grow into a never withering flower...
... am I being too sappy again? ^_^'
