Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
He's pretty intelligent. He's extremely observant of people (mostly) and quite well-read, especially in areas that interest him. He learns quickly, grasps new concepts easily, and retains information quite well.

2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
Over all Guy is quick-witted in most situations, and prone to dealing with things rationally and analytically, instead of reacting, he attempts to think his options through--but in sudden situations he can think on his feet. He's good at improvising and adapting.

3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
Logical and practical. While he has intuition about things and people, he usually comes to conclusions after thinking for a while. And though he cares about people, he's the kind of person who believes in "the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few" for the most part. He'd sacrifice one life to save thousands more, if that was the only option.

4. What kind of education has the character had?
Up to five years old probably the best money could buy. After that it's likely he was educated by his servant and caretaker, and by proxy was able to study with Asch when he became Asch's companion. It's also likely he took his education into his own hands when he could access learning materials, since he has an enthusiasm for science and mechanics that has nothing to do with any duties he had to perform.

5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Swordfighting and machines/fontech. He loves learning more about technology and working with it, it's his passion. He's also very skilled and seems to enjoy swordplay. Recently he's been re-learning how to deal in politics and diplomacy, which he seems innately skilled at.

6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
He's quite friendly and extroverted. He gets along with people easily.

7. Describe the character's temperament. Is he even-tempered or does he have mood swings? Cheerful or melancholy? Laid-back or driven?
He's easy-going, cheerful, calm... He gets emotional at times but it has to be a pretty intense situation to truly unsettle him. He plays around and clowns it up a lot, so what he's really thinking can be hard to tell.

8. How does he respond to new people or situations? Is he suspicious, relaxed, timid, enthusiastic?
He tends to treat new things and people with enthusiasm or interest. Outwardly he's really quite friendly, but in general he's actually pretty cautious and doesn't really get close to people easily.

9. Is he more likely to act, or to react?
Depends on the situation, but often he'd rather observe and decide to act or not act, than end up reacting.

10. Which is his default: fight or flight?
Fight. His survival instinct is strong and vicious and he'll kill to protect himself. In social situations however, he's much more likely to back down than assert himself unless he's really passionate about something. This is partly because, often enough, he's just not invest enough to care about arguing his own point.

11. Describe the character's sense of humor. Does he appreciate jokes? Puns? Gallows humor? Bathroom humor? Pranks?
He jokes around, he enjoys teasing people mildly and likes a good pun or even morbid or black humor, but as a proper noble's servant, and caretaker of a kid no less, he's got a very clean sense of humor too. He's actually a bit of a prude a times, and his language almost never gets above PG-13, and certainly not his humor.

12. Does the character have any diagnosable mental disorders? If yes, how does he deal with them?
He has gynophobia something fierce, and for the most part he just... Deals with it? He's slowly learning not to freak out so badly at the proximity and touch of women, but it's a long healing process to truly overcome his fear.

Unstated, but headcanoned by me, is some OCD behavior brought on by childhood trauma. If you look at his room in the game it's completely and unwaveringly neat and divided into his half and Pere's half with almost surgical precision. And his half is starkly, almost militaristically organized. For someone with such an easy-going persona, the rigid control he exerts in his personal space is interesting.

13. What moments in this character's life have defined him as a person?

14. What does he fear?
Girls. No really, women freak him out! Gynophobia and all. Other than that, well, dying scares him, but in general he just doesn't have fears he dwells on.

15. What are his hopes or aspirations?
For now, he hopes to find Luke alive, against ALL logic. More practically, he's trying to re-integrate himself into Malkuthian nobility after years of absence, re-learning how to be a master instead of a servant. He wants to help change the world--he has a lot of things he wants to do, he's got a long life ahead, but he's taking it all as it comes.

16. What is something he doesn't want anyone to find out about him?
For the most part I think the people important to him know most of his secrets, good and bad. Everyone else, it doesn't really matter to him what they think of him.

Relationships
1. Describe this character's relationship with his parents.
This is all headcanon, but I think he loved and adored his parents as all small children do. Most likely they were both fairly busy, as nobles and leaders, and with a war brewing, but he was the oldest son and heir, and he likely saw them frequently enough.

2. Does the character have any siblings? What is/was their relationship like?
He had an older sister, and they were close. She scolded him a lot because he was a huge crybaby, but he adored her. And she loved him enough to die protecting him. Needless to say, her memory is dear to him.

3. Are there other blood relatives to whom he is close? Are there ones he can't stand?
There's his cousin on his mother's side, Jozette. While I don't know if they're close, he clearly wants to help her out and even spoke up on her behalf to try to set her up with Frings. He probably visits her whenever he's in Baticul or passing through any military base she's stationed on. She gave him the wedding outfit she made for Frings, so likely she does care for him as well. It's probable that she's his closest living relative, and he seems to consider family ties important.

4. Are there other, unrelated people whom he considers part of his family? What are his relationships with them?
Before he helped kill him, he considered Van like an older brother. He probably still thinks of Van in that way. I'd say in a way he considers all his traveling companions as close as family by this point, in their own dysfunctional way. All the relationships with each of them are a bit complicated, and he may not think of them in terms of family, but his bond with them is as strong as one would think of, when you consider family.

5. Who is/was the character's best friend? How did they meet?
Guy's best friend was Van for a long time. Van was his caretaker, Van's family being knights for his family--indeed their families were connected by blood and friendship for thousands of years. However the friend Guy chose to remain loyal to was Luke. And how they met is a lot of tl;dr, but summarized, Guy was Luke's caretaker.

6. Does he have other close friends?
Those he truly trusts? Just his traveling companions, his caretaker Pere, and maybe Emperor Peony.

7. Does he make friends easily, or does he have trouble getting along with people?
He gets along with people really easily, the trouble is bonding with them. He's not great at letting people close to his heart, but he's excellent at taking care of others, whether he truly loves them or not, he's a good friend figure, and generally a nice guy. And it isn't that he doesn't care about people, but from a personal attachment level, he is pretty reserved even though he doesn't seem to be at all.

8. Which does he consider more important: family or friends?
Well his family is dead, so those friends that he sees as family are the most important to him.

9. Is the character single, married, divorced, widowed? Has he been married more than once?
Single, never even dated.

10. Is he currently in a romantic relationship with someone other than a spouse?
N/A

11. Who was his first crush? Who is his latest?
I'll have to headcanon this.

12. What does he look for in a romantic partner?
A LOVE OF MACHINES--actually I don't know. He doesn't either, he hasn't had a chance to consider it as anything but an intellectual exercise. The first step for him would be NOT BEING SCARED of a girl, since primarily he likes girls.

13. Does the character have children? Grandchildren? If yes, how does he relate to them? If no, does he want any?
Haha Luke is almost like his son? IN A WAY? He's proven to be somewhat capable of raising kids--if you could the shounen idiot as a success at least.

14. Does he have any rivals or enemies?
On a personal level, he used to hate the fon Fabres and see Kimlasca, but especially the fon Fabre family, as his sworn enemies. He's mellowed out and gotten over it, and though he probably has enemies and will make more, he doesn't currently have anyone he feels strongly against. Even if he opposes someone it's generally not personal. He doesn't have any rivals.

15. What is the character's sexual orientation? Where does he fall on the Kinsey scale?
Honestly I'd put him somewhere between 1 and 2. But he's never had a chance to experiment, and he's young. While he's not naive, he is a virgin, and his own sexuality isn't something he's entirely worked out. He's definitely attracted to women, and wherever he falls it's likely to be predominantly heterosexual.

16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Never had it. He's a healthy young man, so he thinks about it, but he's had other things to deal with.

17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?

Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?

2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
He never seems to have believed much in following his world's religion, and in fact actively helped the basis of it. So the religion based on the Score is really important in that others following the Score shaped Guy's life, and Guy rebelling against it helped shaped the world. But as to personal beliefs, Guy has no real belief in gods or destiny. It's not that he doesn't believe in deities, but more he'd rather have nothing to do with anything that might resemble another being or power dictating his life and choices. He believes in the power of individuals to create their own life. He does believe in things like the aggregate sentience of fonons, which are probably the closest to spiritual beings his world has, but they'd been scientifically observed to exist.

He'd never worship any being or belief. So while religion has shaped his life and choices, and some of his dearest friends are high members in his world's religious order, and he's even trying to help them re-organize that religion, he himself is not religious or particularly spiritual. His support of those trying to organize the church stems mainly from a political agenda.

3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?

4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?

5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?

Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?

2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?

3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?

4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?

5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?

6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?

7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
