Robert Costello is a certified fraud examiner and project manager specializing in compliance and monitoring. For the past 20 years Mr. Costello has worked closely with clients to deliver specialized solutions that help achieve their goals. He conducts investigative research, data analysis, and field investigations for projects in various industries.
Previous high-profile projects have included the five-year monitorship of the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), and the oversight of the construction project at JFK International Airport for the airport’s Roadways, Utilities and Ground Transportation Center (RUGTC) Project. For NYCHA, Mr. Costello was part of the Guidepost team ensuring that the housing authority – the largest in the U.S. – satisfied the conditions of an agreement reached with the federal government and the City of New York to remedy chronically poor housing conditions in NYCHA housing units.
Prior to joining Guidepost, Mr. Costello was a corporate bond broker at ICAP LLC representing customers from various banks and financial institutions in the trading of high yield securities. Subsequently, he spent nearly a dozen years with Traditum Group LLC, a Chicago-based securities trading firm, where he created markets and managed risk in US Treasury products. He was the primary risk manager for the Asian and European markets, reporting directly to Traditum’s management and risk team. Mr. Costello was then charged with opening a new office in New York, where he oversaw the global fixed income/fixed income derivatives desk.
