Resumen/Objetivo

The Associate Consultant supports the delivery of low-voltage and electronic security design and documentation for a variety of client projects. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines while working collaboratively with consultants, project managers, internal engineering teams, and clients. The Associate Consultant contributes to drafting, submittal and RFI support, specification development, and document control to help ensure projects are delivered on time and to company quality standards.

Deberes del trabajo

  • Coordinate with consultants and project managers to support project and client deliverable milestones and deadlines, including:
  • Document formatting and quality control
  • Drawing takeoffs, quantity counts, and budget support
  • QC/QA review of drawings and documentation
  • Submittal reviews (shop drawings and product data) against approved designs; document deficiencies and comments
  • Specification editing and development using company templates
  • Client and internal communication regarding requirements, new backgrounds, and deadlines
  • RFI logging, review coordination, and draft responses for consultant review
  • File management, version control, and drawing distribution
  • Transmittals and document shipments (digital and/or physical) as required
  • Apply technical knowledge to support project deliverables in partnership with project management
  • Assist with complex designs under the direction of subject matter experts and in accordance with company standards.
  • Support subject matter experts with systems layouts and coordination with internal Engineering Services teams, contractors, and clients to meet project deadlines.
  • Manage assigned tasks and priorities across multiple concurrent deliverables; partner with the project manager to plan work, track milestones, and communicate risks to schedule.
  • Learn and apply company technical design standards, project phases, and drawing expectations.
  • Maintain continuing education and attend seminars on technical, ethical, and professional topics, as applicable.
  • Contribute to company goals and initiatives by supporting project managers and improving personal and team efficiency through continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company document control procedures.

Educación y experiencia requeridas

Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent related experience) required; experience in low-voltage systems and/or construction preferred.

Experiencia preferida

  • 1–3 years of systems design and/or installation experience preferred, including experience with one or more of the following systems:
  • Access control
  • Videovigilancia
  • Alarma de intrusión
  • Design experience in electronic security and/or low-voltage systems.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to describe technical subjects clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, clients, and deadlines.
  • Comfort interfacing with clients or client representatives to review requirements, discuss design approaches, and help resolve installation- and design-related issues.

Tipo de puesto/Horas de trabajo previstas

Se trata de un puesto a tiempo completo. Los días y horas de trabajo son generalmente de lunes a viernes, de 8 a.m. a 6 p.m.

Viajar

Se prevén viajes fuera de la zona para visitar a los clientes y pernoctaciones.

Requisitos físicos

En el desempeño de las tareas de este puesto, gran parte del trabajo puede realizarse sentado ante un escritorio, utilizando un ordenador, escribiendo a máquina, atendiendo llamadas telefónicas, archivando y utilizando equipos de oficina como impresoras y fotocopiadoras. Ocasionalmente, el empleado debe levantar o mover productos y suministros de oficina, hasta 20 libras.

El salario base anual que se ofrece para este puesto se basa en numerosos factores, como las aptitudes y conocimientos relacionados con el trabajo, la experiencia, la ubicación específica y la educación y/o formación pertinentes. Además del salario anual, ofrecemos un completo paquete de prestaciones.
