Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
How do I get my business added to the Texas Wine Lover Guide and mobile app?
Your business may already be there! If you’re in the Guide or mobile app, search for your business name. If you find it in the Guide, simply click the Claim Listing button.

If you are in the mobile app and on a listing, click the More Info button to get to the Guide to view that listing. Then click the Claim Listing button on the correct listing.

If you do not have a business already listed that you can claim, go to the Guide and select the Get Listed Today! button. Select the right category for your business and finish signing up! If you don’t see a category that matches what you should be listed in, please let us know. We can create it!
The app looks cool, and I want to get my business added, but there is no category for me. Am I out of luck?
Not at all! The categories you currently see showing are categories that have businesses already listed. There are many more subcategories that you can select from, and if there is not one already available for you, we can create one. Please contact us prior to joining to let us know what you need.
I just added/updated my business in the Guide. When is the mobile app going to show it?
After you save your information in the Guide, the data is sent to the mobile app every hour, on the hour. The Guide will be shown faster so there may be some delay to show up in the mobile app.
If you still are not seeing your business in the lists of the app, please note the lists are grouped in order by Gold members, Silver, Bronze, and then claim listings. If you want to show up higher in the list, please upgrade your membership.
I am trying to log in to the mobile app but it is not recognizing my email address or password. What do I do?
The website Guide has a different email address/password login than Plan Your Trip and the mobile app. A listing in the Guide could be maintained by multiple people, but a single person would want to have their private email and password in Plan Your Trip and the mobile app to create their own personal trips, add Likes, and more. Please note which system you are trying to log into so you use the correct email address and password.
How do I see restaurants and other businesses that sell Texas wine?
If you are using the Guide, there are a couple of ways. Use the menu items underneath the main category for Texas Wines Sold. For example, in the Eat main category, the menu item is "Eat - Texas Wines Sold."
If you are in the Guide after a search is done, use the filter in the right sidebar to select the main category to search and check the box that says Texas Wines Sold.
If you are in the mobile app, go to the right main category, and in the right side filter menu, select the appropriate "Texas Wines Sold" filter.
Where are the Regions used that are in the Guide and mobile app?
The regions defined by Texas Wine Lover can be found by using the menu item Texas Wineries \ Regions \ Show Regions in Texas. They mostly follow the major Interstate roads in Texas.
In Plan Your Trip and the mobile app, what is the difference between Wineries and Wines?
The Wineries and Wines menus in Plan Your Trip on the website and the mobile app both show winery listings. The difference is the use of the right filter menu. The filter on the Wineries menu shows different amenities and features of a winery to help you show what a winery has that you can enjoy. The right filter menu on the Wines menu shows you what types of wines a winery has between wine styles and the individual varieties of grapes/wines that are produced.
