Create Your Guestar Account

Sign up at app.guestar.ai with your email and select Hostify as your property management system.

Generate a Hostify API Key

In Hostify, go to Settings > API and create a new key named "Guestar".

Connect and Test

Paste the key into the Guestar setup form, click Test Connection, and select your timezone and currency.

Complete the Property Knowledgebase

Add WiFi codes, parking instructions, and house rules so the AI answers guest questions accurately.

Toggle on AI Messaging, Early Check-in, Late Check-out, and Booking Booster per property.

Why are you on the Hostify marketplace?
Two reasons. First, we automate the marketing side that most Hostify operators don't have time for — daily Instagram and Facebook posts, weekly cinematic reels, and engagement actions — so you capture more direct bookings outside of OTAs. Second, our Hostify API integration powers an AI guest messaging layer that answers messages 24/7 across all your connected channels.
Do I have to use both the social automation and the AI messaging?
No. Most operators start with social-only ($299/mo) for brand presence and direct bookings. AI guest messaging is included with the automations tiers when you connect Hostify — but you can also use it standalone via app.guestar.ai. Pick what you need.
Where do the images and reels come from?
Primarily your own property photos uploaded during onboarding — we recommend at least 20. For mood and atmospheric posts, we supplement with AI-generated visuals in your brand style. Reels are built from your real property photos using the latest AI video models (Kling 3.0, with Runway Gen-4.5 as a premium option).
How is the engagement add-on safe for my Instagram account?
We use a hybrid stack — Meta's official Graph API for replies on your own posts and Story poll responder DMs, and conservative mobile-app emulation for competitor comments and cold DMs. Daily caps are conservative by default and a human reviews every action for the first 90 days.
How does the Hostify integration work?
Guestar connects to Hostify via the Hostify API to access your property data, calendar, and bookings. Setup takes about 10 minutes and initial sync runs for ~2 hours. We read data from Hostify but never modify your settings, calendar, or bookings.
Which channels does AI messaging cover?
All channels connected to your Hostify account — Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO, and direct booking websites. Responses are calendar-aware so the AI never double-offers upsells on back-to-back bookings.
Who owns the content?
You do. All generated images, captions, and reels are yours to keep — even if you cancel. On cancellation we deliver a Google Drive zip of everything we created for you.
Can I pause or cancel?
Yes — cancel any time, no penalty. Pausing is a one-click request via email. Re-activating later picks up where you left off.
