01 ; Germania cannot read normal english--he reads the ancient roman language. He also refuses to ADMIT that he can read the language.
02 ; Rome found Germania when he was just starting adulthood. While their first encounter wasn't so great, Rome became the only other nation that he knew, and vowed to protect Rome as soon as he was able to communicate with him. They remained close friends up until just before the start of the AD era.
03 ; When in Rome, do as the Romans do--while Germania and Rome were friends, he really was rather Roman, although he tended to be more serious about things. These were also the years most of his children came around.
04 ; Scandia was his first child, a girl, but he left her in the north to care for it. He never got to know her after she became an adult. The other children came after meeting Rome. Celt is the mother of Frank, Saxon, Swabia, and Bavaria. He visited them as often as he could, but his attendance was progressively worse as war drained him.
05 ; It is because of constant war that Germania cannot accurately express his emotions. He shells them up in order to maintain a level of sanity.
06 ; Germania loves all his children and grandchildren, but because of constant war, he only got to meet a few of his grandchildren personally or for long periods of time. The two he was most fond of were the Holy Roman Empire and the Teutonic Order. He played with Teuton more than any of the other grandchildren. HRE was the last grandchild he saw before his death.
07 ; Germania started hating Rome only when the guy started moving in on his land, despite any other offenses Rome might have committed. He cared a lot for his people, and didn't like them being advanced upon.
08 ; Germania didn't really die of old age exactly. It is said that he died shortly after killing Rome, he lived long enough to look at the world and realized now that Rome was dead, he'd lost his purpose. Shortly afterward, he disappeared into the woods, and in his thinking and pondering, eventually gave up the will to live. He died with his eyes on the sky.
09 ; He will never admit that Rome was his best friend, nor will he admit to Rome being his friend in the afterlife.
10 ; His oldest memory is of carrying Scandia in his arms through a blizzard. She's a baby at this time. He doesn't remember her mother, and he doesn't remember ever being a child, or even adolescent. He only remembers being a father, and what comes after that.
