>> Tutorial time darlings. #01 Vesper
The lovely
groovykiisses asked for a tutorial and since it's Friday and I'm stuck doing laundry, I'll make a damn tutorial :D I only use Photoshop.
Today we'll be making this -->
1. We start with THIS lovely cap. She's a pretty lady, isn't she?
Ok, let's get cracking.
2. Duplicate the baselayer and do Filter > Sharpen > Unsharpen Mask. I like unsharpen mask because I can go crazy with it. I go crazy with a lot of things. My settings in this icon though are;
Amount: 50%
Radius: 64,4 pixels
Threshold: 8 levels
We now have this;

3. Duplicate the Unsharpen mask layer and set it to screen. If your cap is dark you might want to put more screen layers here, or if your cap is very light you might want to play with the opacity. I set my opacity to 100%
4. Create a new layer ontop of the screen and unsharpen mask ones and fill it with #E7C6B3. Set it to Multiply.
This is what we get;

5. Flatten image. Duplicate base to screen and set it to 62%.
6. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Hue/Saturation. Make Saturation to +45.
Doesn't she look shiny? Ah, lovely Vesper.

7. Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Selective Color.
Reds
Cyan: -100
Magenta: +14
Yellow: +100
Yellows
Cyan: +100
Magenta: +23
Yellow: +40
Neutral
Cyan: +62
Magenta: -27
Yellow: -62

8. Take THIS texture by
lovelamp and place it on top. Set it to Linear burn 100%. Duplicate Linear burn layer and set the copy to opacity 27%. I rotate the texture clockwise once before using it.

9. Resize your image and then drag it (or copy - paste) on top of an already created 100 x 100 blank space. I never directly resize an image to 100 x 100. It's more fun to have something to work with.
Anyway, and now viola. We have this baby -->
.
