⭐️ Featured Project

An easy-to-manage custom website for a community charity in Saint John

I really enjoyed the process of building our new site with Greg. The new website is far easier to manage than our old one—updating pages and posting new material is quick and intuitive, which means I do it much more often. I’ve heard so many positive comments on the clean, modern design and how easy it is for visitors to find what they need. I’d absolutely recommend working with Greg.

Frequently Asked Questions

💯 Yes!

Although, I like to think of this as more of a collaboration between your team and I.

Being a web consultant/designer/developer combined allows me to work very efficiently and tackle large web design and development projects.

Of course, there is a limit depending on timeline and scope. I have a network of talented people I can call on when I need to.

I've been working solo for over a decade with no plans of going anywhere. I am not your fly-by-night freelancer.

But it is a valid concern. Things can happen. So:

  • 🔑 You own the keys I'll make sure you have access to everything including website hosting.
  • 🏋️ I'll train you you and your team to be as self sufficient as possible.
  • I use standard technologies and clean maintainable code that another developer could jump into easily.

So whether something happens to me, or you just no longer want to work with me, I make it easy for you to pick up and go.

I work best with organizations that produce their own content or work with someone that does.

I want to spend my time developing the tools to empower your team to be self sufficient rather than update your content for you. That's why I put so much emphasis on developing user friendly content management experiences.

I can help you strategize, plan and organize your content in the initial phases of a website development project and provide on-going consulting.

Yes, and I've been developing website on WordPress for over a decade.

I've built a lot of Wordpress website in the past, and still occasionally do, but more often than not I recommend Craft CMS as a better alternative to WordPress. It just makes a lot more sense when developing a completely custom website and leads to a much easier to use backend experience.

My clients love Craft CMS and usually describe it as a "A breath of fresh air" when coming from Wordpress. It's easy to maintain, has great security, and has very high quality plugins.

✅ The right one for the job.

I find that for the type of websites I'm building, the answer to that question is usually Craft CMS. Craft is like Wordpress in many ways. Imagine if Wordpress was actually a pleasure to use, and came with the features you need to build a great site without installing a ton of plugins. It's also focused on custom websites, which is what I do.

I still occasionally build WordPress sites, and maintain them quite often.  I've been developing websites on WordPress for well over a decade.

But I'm more concerned about the right technology for the job, sometimes that means Webflow, Framer, or just building static websites. Over the past two decades, I've used dozens of different content management systems (and even built my own! 😱) - Mainly that's helped me know what to avoid!

Yes, AI has helped me be more productive as a solo consultant and web developer than ever before. Which means more value for my clients. I use AI for:

  • Research and generally project organization
  • A coding assistant
  • And sometime even image generation

It depends.

For maintenance on existing websites, I usually have to be a bit more picky and I'm looking for:

  • An organization that updates their content themselves and seeks to improve their workflow.
  • A certain level of investment for maintenance and continuous improvements.

No, Atlantic Canada is my focus, but I work with organizations all across Canada.

Most of the organizations I serve are in Atlantic Canada, mainly Halifax, Nova Scotia where I live, but ultimately it's more about the right project/client relationship fit (The best way to figure that out is to book a discovery call! )
