The implementation of the GoRout player communication system between the dugout, pitcher, and catcher proved to be highly beneficial throughout the season. The system improved communication clarity, increased game efficiency, and enhanced overall convenience for players and coaches by streamlining pitch selection and delivery, reducing the time needed for catchers to relay signs, minimizing mound visits, and helping maintain a consistent pace of play. It also provided an important safety benefit by reducing confusion and limiting the likelihood of crossed signals between players.
The platform is responsive, user-friendly, customizable, reliable, and efficient, making it an effective communication solution at every level of the game. Based on our experience, GoRout should be considered the standard for player-to-player and coach-to-player communication across all levels of baseball. Expanding its use to all defensive players and adding similar capabilities on offense would further improve on-field communication, defensive execution, play calling clarity, game management, and the overall experience for players, coaches, umpires, and spectators.
