Our platform utilizes artificial intelligence to provide real-time, data driven analysis to help coaches and athletes elevate their performance. Using the latest technology in a way never done before, Vizn Performance dramatically improves accuracy in personalized biomechanical assessments at the team and individual level.
The idea for Vizn Performance didn’t materialize overnight – it was a compilation of years of experience, concepts, and designs. All athletes know the time and energy required to compete at an elite level, and our founder Mike Castillo is no different. After a lifetime surrounded by sports both as a player and a coach, he recognized that recent technological advances have provided a way for training to become more precise and efficient. Luckily, he had expertise in both – in sports as a pitcher at UCLA, as a coach developing players for over 15 years, and as a software developer designing programs for fortune 500 companies.
You can’t discount the value of a good coach with keen eyes and years of experience, nor the importance of technology and precise data in developing a successful program. With advances in the quality of devices and machine learning, cameras can now capture raw data and analyze it more accurately and efficiently than any human eye. With that knowledge, Mike architected a system to recognize and classify motion, which could then be analyzed against research-driven metrics. By putting this data in a platform that allows coaches to virtualize their methodologies, he was able to observe quantifiable improvement in players and teams. Vizn Performance’s platform enables athletes to improve their sports skills anytime, anywhere, and coaches to perfect their feedback and improve the rate of skill development without the need of manual observation.
