Longest Lapse EVAR XDD
And I'm not even going to apologize. - I have three and a half weeks left of my Illustration degree to go, which is INSANE. Totally bat-shit INSANE I tell you.
Uhg... I really dislike the waiting game, too, which is unfortunate because I've signed myself up for multiple rounds of it in the recent past...
The current count:
-Still waiting to hear from Conestoga. (they told me March!! As soon as April 1st hits, I will become both annoyed and worried!)
-Still waiting to hear from Cambridge Arts Centre (came upon the realization that my old boss is still probably going to be on maternity leave ATM... so that means someone else is doing the application process. A little more forgiveness there.)
-Waiting to hear from paternal unit about the child-support situation for next year... But won't be able to resolve it unit I hear from Conestoga. >_<
-Waiting for YoSD, alias Elliot, to arrive from Volks (Will be a seriously LONG haul waiting until May, but it's okay. ^_^ He's worth it, in all of his disgustingly cute resin glory.)
-Waiting for CHAOS. proof to arrive from Comixpress so my peers and I can squeal and ogle over it
... Wow. When you put it down in writing, it really puts things into perspective...
The upshot of all of this is that when the news does start arriving, I will rapidly become a much happier person! Not that I'm particularly depressed right now. Just... you know... getting impatient.
Current coping maneuver is to immerse myself into HP audiobooks and studiously work on my school projects, intermingled with random Google chat and DoA browsing. It's sort of sad that I can sum my entire life up so succinctly...
Note to self: 22 pages of a graphic novel is WAY to short to have taken so long to produce!!! Having said that, I'm nearly finished, which makes me extremely happy. X3 Now the only bugger of the situation is that I have no idea of how I'm going to get the thing into a comic-book-ish form that doesn't involve staples (>_< Ew) for the grad show...
I'm also looking at a four day weekend again, which is becoming a pattern, odly enough. The only reason for this, though, is that I'm ahead in my Monday morning class, and my teacher actually told me that I don't really need to go next week. And since it's my only class that day, and I don't have classes on Tuesdays, that means that I am looking at a very long and potentially bone-dry boring weekend, because I'm staying in Oakville due to the fact that the maternal unit is going to Mexico on Thursday and won't be back for a week.
This also means that I'll be missing Karate twice in a row, which is a royal pain, but I can't exactly do much about it short of bitching at my mother about her going on her mediation intensive. Which I won't do. Because she's been working hard on her Thesis for SO long and definitely deserves this trip.
... I do hope she brings me back something colourful and fun. ^_^ I'm starting to get sick of the snow.
Well... somewhere back there this turned into a whining post. Lol! Not my intention, so apologies for that.
Back to the grindstone!
