GlobeTV has stepped away for now.
We created GlobeTV in good faith as a way for people to discover live television channels from around the world. We never intended to infringe anyone's rights, create legal difficulties, or cause harm to any broadcaster.
Where the channel information came from
The platform was built using channel and stream information published in the iptv-org/iptv GitHub repository, which presents itself as a collection of publicly available IPTV channels. We relied on that public source and believed in good faith that the listed streams were suitable for linking and discovery.
Why the platform is offline
We recognize that a stream being publicly accessible or included in a public repository does not necessarily mean that every third-party platform has permission to display, distribute, embed, or promote it. We sincerely apologize to any broadcaster or rights holder affected by GlobeTV. To avoid creating further concerns, we have taken the platform offline while we reconsider whether the project can operate with direct authorization from participating channels.
For broadcasters and authorized representatives
If you officially represent a television channel and would like the channel to be considered for a possible future version of GlobeTV, please contact us from an official business email address. Your message should identify the channel and clearly confirm that GlobeTV is authorized to list the channel and make its official live stream available through the platform.
What may happen next
GlobeTV may return in the future with only those channels that have contacted us directly and provided clear permission. At this time, however, we cannot promise that the platform will relaunch or that any submitted channel will be included.
