629 Batches Rejected, Label Issues Topping the List! Risk Analysis and Compliance Tips for Non-Admitted Imported Foods in January
On March 6, 2026, the General Administration of Customs announced the information on non-admitted imported foods across the country in January 2026. A total of 629 batches of food were returned or destroyed in accordance with the law for failing to meet China's national food safety standards or relevant laws and regulations. Compared with 406 batches in December 2025, the month-on-month increase was about 55% (an increase of 223 batches); compared with 357 batches in the same period of 2025, the year-on-year increase was about 76% (an increase of 272 batches).
