Introducing our 1 – 3 kW Unit
A compact, floating, waterpower generator that can be deployed in a matter of hours with no civil works required. It delivers clean, consistent electricity, through the night and through the Winter, offering clean energy production you can rely on.
The unit is assembled with basic tools and skills, from 6 sections, none of which weigh more than 50kg. This removes the need for access roads or heavy equipment for installation, making it ideal for remote locations and distributed energy systems.
Requires a minimum;
- Water depth of 50cm
- Channel width of 3 metres

We are GKinetic Energy!
With offices in Ireland and the US, GKinetic Energy (G-KINETIC) have developed a range of unique, super simple yet super powerful turbines that generate clean, predictable energy from flowing water.
We offer a viable & cost effective turbine that harnesses clean, reliable energy from free- flowing and open channel water assets such as rivers, estuaries and canals, in both man-made and natural sites, thereby making hydrokinetic energy accessible to all. We make clean, local energy generation from water easy, accessible and revenue generating.

Founded in 2014
Headquartered in Limerick Ireland, we have global ambitions.

Pioneering
A brand new ‘distributed hydro and tidal energy’ market.

Water / Energy Nexus
Hydrokinetic energy produces 9x more power than solar per kW installed.

Experts in our field
10 Granted patents, 7 deployments, & granted planning permission.

Perfect Timing
Rolling out initial commercial projects and looking to scale fast.
Water Energy Simplified
Our standard unit comprises two vertical axis turbines fixed either side of a bluff body that acts as an intentional obstacle , accelerating the water flow into the turbines in a very simple and safe way, harnessing more energy from average flow speeds without blocking the waterway.
COMPACT
Water channels as shallow as 50cm & 3m wide.
SUSTAINABLE
Made from 98% recycleable material.
HIGHLY EFFICIENT
Outputting quality kWs, 24/7, all year round.
SIMPLE O&M
Moored in place, just like a boat.
