Intermittent failure to connect to HS110 (EU)

Open harristom opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

I have an HS110 that intermittently is undiscoverable by the CLI despite being accessible in the Kasa app. I suspect the issue is related to the fact that the plug has a low wifi signal but I'm not sure.

I'm on a mesh network with 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz but it doesn't seem to matter which channel the plug is connected to as I have another one that never has this issue despite it also hopping channels fairly regularly. The main difference between them is their placement which is why I suspect wifi strength to be a factor.

Interestingly, when using debug mode the device does show up in the output (see attached). One is successfully discovered (192.168.178.40) and one is not (192.168.178.267).

I have a similar issue, though I have an HS105. It stops being discovered for periods of time, before beginning to work again, seemingly randomly.
