Menu is always open

By default, the menu is open and i can't get it closed (I used the code from the documentation → https://material.preactjs.com/component/menu/) and I can't get it to work, do I miss something here?

image (even with open=false) it does not seem to close

Versions: preact-material-components 1.6.1 preact 10.3.1
