Cannot do manual backups on filesystem, only share menu pops up
Pre-submission checklist
- [X] I am submitting a bug report, not a feature request.

Description
I need to export the file directly to the filesystem, without having to pick another app to share it with. This happens on both my old and new phone and both on tagged and dev branch versions.
Steps to reproduce
- Go to
Settings - Click on
Export full backup - Share menu pops up
System information
- Phone: Samsung Galaxy A12
- Phone Operating System: Android 13
- App version: 2.2.0

I recommend Save Locally as a workaround.
I use FX File Explorer which has a Save As share option.
Thank you for the suggestions! I'm using ZipXtract as a workaround, since I backup my stuff archived and encrypted anyway.
I wrote the issue so that it's not forgotten. I'll probably send a pull request at some point if it's still not resolved, when I have more time again.
Thanks for the bug report, @powerjungle. As suggested in this thread, you can use apps such as Save Locally to store it to another folder in your device. We don't offer this functionality as part of the app for two reasons:
- I don't want to request permission to read/write all folders in your device, as this is a very intrusive; it makes more sense for us to share the file with a file manager, then let it handle.
- For the majority of users, having the file stored in a folder on the device is useless, as they don't even know how to access it. It makes more sense to directly save the file to a cloud service, such as Google Drive or Dropbox.
The issue is that some people might want to encrypt the file before uploading it anywhere and since the app itself doesn't encrypt it, you need to export it first to the local storage to do that if it can't be shared with the encrypting app directly, for example Termux.
Also some people probably aren't aware of the external apps for saving files. I wasn't until it was mentioned here.
It's not an intuitive experience. Maybe people have other use cases for this other than encryption, so it doesn't seem like a good idea to assume.
Every app I'm using allows you to export to local storage, some just warn you of the risks of doing this. Some encrypt before exporting it. Most allow access only to a single folder, not to the whole filesystem.
