We've a few ideas around how to move forward, but not much feedback from users yet. This Epic is to collect our ideas and to solicit user feedback. ## Get user feedback - How can we improve our Terraform plan widget? - How can we learn about what users think about our Terraform features in general? This issue is motivated by https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gitlab/-/issues/218369 The idea would be to add a small text with a link to the Terraform MR widget, and to invite users to add their thoughts to a feedback issue. I thought through various solutions: | Idea | Show the request for feedback after the user clicks the "open job log" button on the widget | Show the request as a static text in the widget | | --- |---|---| | Pros | We know that the user is interested in the info provided by the widget | Having a 0 valued widget might be already valuable. | | Cons | The user is currently in a given workflow, and we should not derail them | Will we have this text forever? When and how could we switch it off? (just remove it in 3 months?) Should we add a config value somewhere so self-hosted admins can switch it off? | ## Everyone can contribute If you use any of GitLab's Terraform features, we'd like to hear your ideas and feedback.
