Problem to solve

I frequently want to navigate from an MR to its related issue, which involves scanning through the MR description looking for the correct issue link.

Everybody interacting with MRs.

Proposal

The "related issue" is either:

• The issue that the MR closes, if a closing reference is present.
• Otherwise, the first issue that's mentioned in the MR description. (or do we have other types of explicit references?)

This related work item should be shown in a consistent location within the main body, providing users with a predictable place to find the related item.

• Clicking the work item should, ideally, open the work item in a side panel (when available and when user preference enabled), providing the option for side-by-side comparison of the work item and MR details.
