This is an idea based on feedback from a user suggesting this due to running into issues where accidentally closing the compose box when typing a message leads to opening a bunch of menus etc. due to all the hotkeys being picked up. I've been running into this myself, which tends to be annoying because I'll suddenly find myself accidentally starring or even editing messages due to it.

Not sure what the right solution is - but an obvious approach would be to at least allow users who struggle with this turn off hotkeys.
