What happened?
This is a reopening of issue #6270 by @nickj2014.
The original content of this section can be found there.
To give you a quick summary of what is happening: The 2FAS Browser Extension is causing the Zen Browser to have abnormal CPU usage whenever it is enabled or installed. It is NOT UNIQUE to Windows users, as Linux users (like myself) in that thread have also experienced it as well. I'm not sure about macOS users, but I would concur that this is also happening to them.
This bug is (so-far) unique to the Zen Browser, as the original author so far could not replicate this bug on the latest version of Firefox (at the time). Also, no other Firefox-based browsers have been tested (yet) for this same behaviour. The only way to solve (or workaround) this bug is to uninstall or disable the 2FAS Browser Extension.
By the way, this is just with the default settings of the 2FAS Browser Extension (save for the custom device name).
