Reproduction steps

1- Start Zed
2- Open Git Switcher, I'm able to write a space in the select branch field with no issues
3- Open Git Panel then Switch Branch button, unable to write a space in the select branch field despite the field serving the exact same purpose as the field in step 2

Expected Behavior: in the Git Panel, I should be able to write a space in the select branch field.
Current Behavior : unable to write a space in the select branch field despite the field serving the exact same purpose as the field in step 2 of the repro steps.

Same behavior was observed by @OmChillure and @axlpascual in comments of #52696

I will be working on this issue right now
